Awesomenauts Are Go, Set To Launch on PSN May 1st, XBLA May 2nd

Combining the action packed gameplay of a MOBA with the old school throwback of a side scroller, Awesomenauts, the upcoming XBLA and PSN title from Ronimo Games, has finally set a release date of May 1st for North American PSN users, and May 2nd for foreign PSN users and XBLA.

We’re promised to find, and I quote…”backstabbing chameleons, giant exploding robots and yes, laser wielding flying monkeys” within the title. We’ll be checking for all of these things when we get our hands on with a demo at PAX East next weekend. Until then, be sure to check out the game’s latest trailer.

Indie Showcase | Children of Liberty

So a cool indie game has come to my attention recently. Made by Lantana Games, Children of Liberty first struck me because of its neat visuals. A 2D side scrolling platformer, Children of Libery appears to be a pretty straight forward brawler with some sneaking mechanics thrown in. A quick synopsis of the game:

Children of Liberty is a stealth-based platformer which takes place on the eve of the American Revolution. You play as one of four kids on a mission to break their parents out of jail and warn the countryside of the pending Redcoat attack. Players have various tools at their disposal depending on the character they play, including Toy Swords, Grappling Yoyos, and Smoke [...]
