Mafia II Getting Demo August 10

Get ready ladies and gentlemen, as 2K is preparing gamers to experience a truely “Wise guy/Mademan” way of life with Mafia II.

2K’s confirmed the demo of Mafia II will be launching on August 10 on PS3 and 360.

Not much meat with the news but getting a demo date should get gamers hungry for those who were at E3 to play it.

Mafia II releases on August 24 in the US, and August 27 in the UK and the rest of the world on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

2K Details Upcoming DLC For Mafia II

We’ve yet to see much since E3 but 2K is gearing up for next month’s release of Mafia II.

Entitled “The Betrayal of Jimmy” & “Jimmy’s Vendetta”

“The Betrayal of Jimmy” will cost PSN gamers nothing, as they will get it as a day one exclusive for the PS3, by entering the voucher code included with the game. As for everyone else it will be accessible a day or two after worldwide.

It will run games 9.99 (PSN) or 800 MSP (XBL).

“Jimmy’s Vendetta” the 2nd DLC, will be available some time after launch. The 2nd DLC will give players a arcade type of game play with new missions and leaderboard competition on the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. Expect more [...]

Playstation Plus Members To Get Kane & Lynch 2 Demo Early

Sony has gotten its hands on the Demo for Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days and will let new members of Playstation Plus get their hands on it before regular members on July 19th.

Presumably XBL members who got tokens to play the demo since July 1st have been doing so, and we can assume that the non-token bunch will get it along with the regular PSN gamers on July 20th.

A day later for all everyone else, so not to worry although we have yet to confirm the date for XBL gamers if they will get the demo the same time as PSN gamers.

Kane & Lynch 2’s release was pulled forward a week, and will now drop on August 17.

Assassin’s Creed 3 To Have “New Setting, New Hero”

It looks like AC: Brotherhood might be the last time we see Ezio and his story.

“Assassin’s Creed 3: new setting, new hero. That’s the way it works,” associate producer Jean-Francois Boivin told Gamerzines when asked if we’d see a new location and main character in the next numbered title in the series.

“We know what we’re doing; we’ve had a plan for a long time where this license is going to go.”

Don’t expect AC 3 remotely anytime soon, as the team is taking 365 day break after Brotherhood is released, so look for it in 2012 for PS3, PC and Xbox 360.

New Ubisoft HAWX 2 Trailer Released

For you flying enthusiasts out there, Ubisoft has released its first trailer for Tom Clancy’s HAWX 2.

In the trailer below (courtesy of GTTV), you’ll see the HAWX in a mission around the Persian Gulf after one of their own gets shot down over enemy lines.

This is what would’ve happened in the movie “Behind Enemy Lines” with Gene Hackman and Owen Wilson.

It also shows off what appears to be some real-time footage as well as pre-rendered cut-scenes.

HAWX 2 releases this fall for PS3, 360, Wii and PC.

Dragon Age 2 Announced!

A simple tweet yesterday made Dragon Age fans a little excited, from @dragonage “2morrow will be a great day for BioWare fans. Just sayin'”.

Once that tweet was made, fans knew and today it has been confirmed on their website that Dragon Age 2 is official. The debut trailer will run on 08/17/2010 and I have to wonder if it will be as great as the trailers that were released for the first installment and will it be set to music from 30 Seconds to Mars or another band.

30 Seconds to Mars Dragon Age video

Preorders for the game on PC, Ps3 and XB360 will start July 8th! No word on a special edition as of yet.

The newest edition of GameInformer will have [...]

New Mafia II Footage Shows Customization & Environment

Some Mafia II footage has popped on the net and looks rather stunning. 2K Czech has pushed themselves showing just how much interactivity there is in this open world actioner.

Most of the video focuses on vehicles, flat tires from bullets and also fiddling around under the bonnet. Pretty impressive stuff if you ask us.

Later on the protagonist is seen driving into a garage to customize a stolen car by giving a facelift to the plates, paintwork and tires, while also improving the engine’s performance.

Check the video out below.

New Crysis 2 “Marine Salvage” Video

With more video and information hitting the net, EA has dropped another jewel in the way of a video of Crysis 2.

Called “Marine Salvage”, needless to say that it is better than the quick 10-15 seconds trailer shown at E3.

Check it out below via YouTube (Thanks IGN)

During EA’s press event, Crytek’s Cevat Yerli announced that all three versions of Crysis 2 will be 3D capable – so there’s a little something else that might sway you.

The game’s out this fall on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 and possibly a Beta is expected sometime before then.

Fallout Online MMO Website Goes Live Despite Litigation

Despite legal issues between Bethesda Softworks and Interplay, it seems Fallout Online, the MMO based on the Fallout universe is continuing production, and is even coming close to the beta phase.

A teaser website for the game has recently been launched and is accepting sign-ups for a beta period.

This has been confirmed as real; the website is registered to Interplay and they currently have a large banner linking to the website.

When Interplay sold the rights of the Fallout franchise to Bethesda in 2007, they retained a license to develop the MMO with the stipulation that production would be in full-swing by April of 2009.

In September of 2009, Bethesda [...]
