The entire video game world has their eyes on Germany this week, Cologne to be exact, as Gamescom 2012 has officially begun. This morning we have brand new screenshots of Call of Duty: Black Ops II, the game whose multiplayer trailer made us lose our minds.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, by Treyarch, is slated for a release date of November 13, and as with previous incarnations, the multiplayer seems to be shaping up to be quite intense.

Activision is reporting that anyone that pre-orders Call of Duty: Black Ops II will get the bonus downloadable map Nuketown 2025. Not that any Call of Duty fans needed extra incentive, but a “reimagined” version of the original Nuketown map that was featured in the first Black Ops game? Sure, we’ll take it!

I love Halo because it brings me back to an older day in multiplayer shooters where everyone has access to all the same weapons, yet still has a modern feel to it. Load outs in Halo 4 have me worried.
