On their Facebook page, Batman: Arkham Origins has announced that an announcement will be announced on New Year’s Eve. What this actually anyone’s guess. Does Batman finally lose it and get put in Arkham himself? More DLC? A new game from Rocksteady? All we have is literally just the above picture. Post your ideas on the comments below. I’ll do something interesting with the most creative one.
All jokering aside, it’s probably more DLC that’s been hinted at in the past before. Or, it could be the announcement of the Nightwing movie staring Joseph Gordon-Levitt that I’ve been waiting for. That’s totally it, isn’t it?
“… which doesn’t make any sense but is really cool.” Still working on a new name for the show, it’s the G-Spot Podcast Episode 111!
If you’re like me and are eagerly awaiting this Friday to finally get your hands on Batman: Arkham Origins, this video will either make the wait easier or less bearable. What we have for you is an 18 minute walkthrough of a couple early missions in the game. Commentary is provided by Senior Producer Ben Mattes and Gameplay Director Michael McIntyre. Truth be told it doesn’t look terribly different from Arkham City, but with an engine that good it’s hard to find fault with Warner Brothers for leaving much the same.
One noteworthy item is that not only with Batman have to deal with the gangs and assassins, but the GCPD and SWAT teams will also be enemies. [...]
Holy coming of age montage, Batman! Batman: Arkham Origins has a new trailer! If you’ve watched television lately, you may have seen this TV Spot somewhere along the line. If not, here it is for you to enjoy. I call it ‘The Many Faces of Bruce’, or ‘A Portrait of the Bat as a Young Pup’. This game seriously needs to come out soon, I am running out of puns at a rapid rate.
If you haven’t been following our coverage of Origins, A) shame on you, B) it follows Bruce Wayne in his first year in Gotham as Batman. On New Years’ Eve, Black Mask hires an impressive group of assassins to take down Batman. Will Bruce survive? Or will his tenure [...]
Holy touch interface, Batman! Batman: Arkham Origins will be coming to your favorite mobile app store this holiday season (assuming your favorite app store is either iOS or Android). Swipe, tap, and slide your way to victory. Judging from the trailer, it looks to be a fairly impressive port of the upcoming blockbuster. The graphics look solid, and all the animations looks smooth. Naturally, we’ll only be able to test the interface once it’s out, but I’m hopeful that it will work well. There have been many poor mobile ports, I’d like something a bit better for Mr. Wayne.
No official release date for the mobile version has been released, but the console [...]
A season pass has been announced for Batman: Arkham Origins. This pass will allow you to get a bunch of content (thirty dollars worth) for $19.99. Specifically, it gives the player access five of the upcoming planned DLC. First up are skins from Gotham by Gaslight and Brightest Day. Next up is the New Millennium Skins Pack. Third up is a pack of Skins from Infinite Earth. You also get the Initiation Challenge Map, where you play as Bruce before he became Batman. Lastly, there’s an unannounced story addition, likely similar to Harley’s Revenge in Arkham City. If you like skins and extra content, it may not be a bad deal.
Season passes are always a gamble. It’s [...]
Today at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, a new trailer for Warner Bros. Games Montreal’s upcoming Batman: Arkham Origins was revealed.
Two more villains have been revealed for Batman: Arkham Origins, Copperhad, and Mad Hatter.
The Mad Hatter, aka Jervis Tetch, is an Alice in Wonderland obsessed technology genius/psycho. His levels will be akin to Scarecrow’s in the previous game. The other character, Copperhead, is a bit different. She’s a re-imaging of an old character, but updated. She looks to be very ninja-like, so expect lots of blocking, dodging and countering. With the addition of these two characters, Batman will certainty have his hands full.
One thing to remember about this game is that it’s a prequel. It takes place before Asylum. It will be interesting to see how a [...]
After a bout of confusion on the Twitterverse, Kevin Conroy will NOT be voicing Batman in Batman: Arkham Origins, but rather the previously unannounced following game. Roger Craig Smith will still voice Bruce Wayne in Origins. I was momentarily excited to have The Voice of Batman back, but apparently there’s always next time. Glad to see they’re look far ahead. Might want to make sure this one shapes up before setting all their eggs in one basket. I know the series has a spotless track records, but I know many fans are concerned by some of the changes. Only time will tell.
In other voice related news, Roger Craig Smith is confirmed as Batman and Troy Baker will be [...]
The teaser trailer for Batman: Arkham Origins has finally arrived! We finally get our first glimpse of a young Dark Knight in action in Warner Bros. Games Montreal’s highly anticipated prequel. This is actually a teaser for a teaser with the full trailer that will be released on the game’s official Facebook page on May 20. Take a look at a young, rookie Batman facing off against Deathstroke.
Batman: Arkham Origins takes place several years before Rocksteady Studios’ award-winning Arkham Asylum and the follow up Arkham City. The story takes place on Christmas Eve and focuses on a younger version of Batman, still rough around the edges, early in his [...]
