What We Played | September 24 – 30

Welcome to Press Start! This is a weekly segment that dives into what we here at The Game Fanatics are currently playing. Feel free to leave a comment with what you’ve been playing or if you have any questions about the games that we are currently involved with.

Jeff: This week’s been rough, but I still fit in some gaming time. Resident Evil 4 has absolutely consumed my spare time. I’ve played it to completion twice before, but it’s never really absorbed me like it has this time. I squeezed in some time with Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D and Mario Kart DS, but it’s Leon’s adventures in Spain that have my attention right now.

Jen: Didn’t get that much gaming in this week, sadly. Only put a tiny time into Rock Band Blitz and with SWTOR. I finally bought L.A. Noire, which I rented from Gamefly last year and beat it but I never worked on the side missions. Not sure why it took me this long to finally add it to my collection and now that I do have it, it might be a while before I really start to play it again thanks to the new games that are releasing shortly.

Joel: I have continued to bounce between Borderlands 2 and Guild Wars 2 which are both insanely addicting and fantastic to play. Also managed to throw in some NBA 2k12 for possibly the last time since 2K13 is just about to release and consume my life!

William: Trying Nautalis on League of Legends this week, as he was free. Hot damn can that man jungle. I don’t think I went past lane phase with less that 6-7 kills or assists in any of the games I played. He may just be my new favorite jungler.  I’ve also been working on The Last Story. It’s still basically Aladdin. Though I kinda like Yurick and Mirania. The characters seem sorta one dimensional at this point, but I’m still very early in. Like… 4 hours early. For an RPG, that’s nothing.  I actually run a D&D game every week. That technically counts as games, right? I DM for a team of 5 now, and I think I’m going to throw them in a pit of leeches… yes… leeches…
