Review
The Thor movie has to be one of the most authentic & entertaining Comic book movies I have ever seen. The film is one large delight, and doesn’t drift from the true origins of the comic book character. If you want the real God of Thunder experience, I suggest you see this movie.
The film is a quaint mixture of Comic book trivia, Out of this World action, and true marvel humour. It seems as if the film has taken a page from jon favreau’s Iron man, and not taken the film too serious. There’s a lot of immature moments that will make you chuckle, no matter your age. Whilst at the same time, presenting you with a new exciting world, never really captured in cinema.
However the film isn’t just laughs, as it also offers a good does of High Octane Brutish violence. And lets face it, you can never get sick of seeing a Mighty Hammer plant into a bad guys face. However even though Thor possesses the Mjöllnir hammer, which was forged in a star and hold incredible power. His battles are no walk in the park, yet he doesn’t quite see it that way.
The Thor character, if you don’t know(Which you really should, and should be ashamed of yourself if not) is the Norse God of Thunder. Now you might think of God’s as; all seeing, wise and powerful leaders. With knowledge and understanding, the surpasses any mortal by miles. Well, Thor is more like a toddler im afraid. Hes very arrogant, very immature, quite unwise and doesn’t half go on a tantrum when he doesn’t get his way. He’s like a child with a Hammer. But never the less, you instantly fall in love with the 3-dimensional Character. Since represents all of these faults, in a easy going and simply careless manor. He’s just seems like the guy you’d hang out with, given the chance.
The performances of all the cast, is brilliant to say the least. But focusing on that of Thor(Chris Hemsworth), Odin(Anthony Hopkins), Loki(Tom Hiddleston) and Jane Foster(Natalie Portman). They each give amazing performances, and the cast is above average for a comic book movie. Each choice of actor, give a different range of characteristics. Which all complement each other, and each character has been wrote into the script with 3-dimension’s. The only thing I have to say about Hemsworth and Hopkins, they do like to shout.
I can easily say that a large portion of this film is CGI enhanced, but it is done very well. Especially when the City of Asgard is displayed in all its Golden Glory. Its these scenes, that are created so well that make the film so authentic. You know that its CGI, but as each real and fake scene bleed into each other, you eyes make no adjustment. The collation between light and effect give a simply majestic feel.
Now there are cheesy bits to the film, which you gotta expect with any marvel movie. My favourites always been the small cameo scene for Stan Lee, and Yes hes in Thor too. But even with the cheesy scenes, and the few over the top actors its still very entertaining.
The film as you might know, is part of a series of marvel origin movies. All finally leading to the Avengers movie, coming out 2012. So through the film, you will see connections to the avengers. Very noticeable ones, like the small introduction of Hawk-eye. As well as very small mentions of ‘Tony Stark’(Iron Man), and the Shield. Its just nice to see films begin to merge into each other, and create one large movie universe. You see it a lot in comics, and its refreshing and interesting to see it in Cinema.
All I have to say, is that this is one of the most entertaining Comic book movies to date. But if this is just a set-up movie, just laying the cement for the Avengers movie. You better get prepared for a hell of a ride when it hits next year.

GONNA GO SEE IT!
Lerannig a ton from these neat articles.
I was wondering how Thor became a zombie. And did kitty satisfaction and quicksilver also turn out to be zombies? and what occurred to man-thing in that series?
Just noticed the movie and cherished it! I understood absolutely nothing about Thor to start with (except the Norse mythology). What Thor comic book is excellent for starters? I went to the bookstore tonight and there is certainly so a lot to chose from.
In wikipedia and other content articles it claims that Robert Kennedy (or someone) agreed to remove the United States Thor and Jupiter missiles in Europe (or much more particularly Italy and Turkey) alongside with the primary aspect of the agreement amongst Russia and the U.S in the course of the Cuban Missile Crisis. Is this true? Due To The Fact in a lot of other resources it says that the U.S ignored the 2nd letter from Nikita Khrushchev asking that the U.S take away those missile from Europe. Make Sure You demonstrate where you obtained your details from. Thanks.
Thanks for the information in the answers, but so far you haven’t answered my main question.
What Australian soap opera did the current star of the movie “Thor” show up in in excess of 100 times?
obviously, they are equally amazingly strong, and equally have some kind of object with them (thor with his hammer and hercules with his club), and i feel they’re the two type of straightforward to trick. something i am missing here?
I’m producing a examine and distinction myth essay in between the myth of The theft of thor’s hammer and hercules.
Referring to HHH-McMahon and going to stop the NXT attacks, since SuperCena is not able to do the process .
Since they attacked dad in-law , do you assume Thor return with a thunderous entrance and quit the nXt rookies ?
I’m a huge admirer of The Phoenix, especially The Dark Phoenix and the Pure Phoenix (Before fusing with Jean Grey). My cousin and I had inevitably gotten into a continuous argument on who is superior, Thor or The Phoenix. Now, with all the expertise I had on The Phoenix, I argued in her favor. But my cousin, with all the knowledge he’d realized about Thor agrued for him. The Phoenix is all powerful, but then again, so gets to be Thor when he sooner or later gains the electricity of Odin.
So who do you feel would win? Thor or The Phoenix?
