Prepare to Duel with Supervillains in Batman: Arkham VR

Prep your Batarangs and your best Batman voice, because you can don the Dark Knight’s cowl this October in Batman: Arkham VR.

Last June, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment showed off Batman: Arkham VR  during the San Diego Comic Con, but only a handful of lucky fans got to see what it was like to become the Caped Crusader. Yesterday, that changed with the reveal of a special Fan Reaction trailer on the Batman: Arkham YouTube channel.

Become Batman

This trailer marks the public’s first look into the Batcave via virtual reality. While it doesn’t show much at all, we do see players swinging the Batarang around and descending into the Batcave. There isn’t much information as to how the game ties into the Arkham franchise or, frankly, what exactly one does in Batman: Arkham VR.

Here is what we do know. First, Batman: Arkham VR is being developed by Rocksteady Studios, which made the extremely popular Arkham franchise. The game is looking to be one of the first AAA VR games, and from the looks of the trailer it might just succeed. Batman: Arkham VR will be exclusive to PlayStation VR and will retail for $19.99, and will be launching sometime October 2016.

What do you think? Are you excited to wear the cowl? Or will people just get motion sickness from all the flipping and stunts? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
