Tales from the Borderlands' Episode One is Available Now

Telltale Games is back in full force and this time, they’re bringing us to the Borderlands universe in Tales from the Borderlands, which is available today on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC

In collaboration with Borderlands‘ original developer, Gearbox Software, and publisher 2K, Telltale Games has announced today via Twitter that Episode One, Zer0 Sum, is available to download on the aforementioned platforms. As with their previous titles, Zer0 Sum will be the first of five episodes for Tales from the Borderlands: A Telltale Games Series.

In this title, players will assume the role of Rhys, a Hyperion “suit” who aspires to be something like Handsome Jack, and Fiona, a Pandoran swindler who’s scoping out her next big hit. The two characters are, against all odds, thrown together in an adventure that sees players hunting down treasures that aren’t theirs. Fighting gangsters, bandit lords, and Vault Hunters, Rhys and Fiona will overcome tremendous obstacles over the course of five distinct episodes.

As mentioned, Episode One is now available in the U.S. on PlayStation Network for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 and through the Telltale Online Store or Steam for PC.

For Xbox fans, there’s a day’s wait, however. Episode One will be launching on the Xbox Games Store on November 26th for Xbox One and on December 3rd for Xbox 360. It looks as though the folks overseas are also going to wait it out a week. Through their announcement, Telltale mentioned that Episode One won’t arrive in Europe until December 3rd for both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 in Europe.

Tales From the Borderlands 2

What’s more, speaking on the studio’s latest title, Kevin Bruner, president and co-founder of Telltale Games said, “Tales from the Borderlands is an amazing opportunity for Telltale Games to expand upon the world Gearbox has created. Players can now experience the humor and richness of the Borderlands universe from a whole new perspective, with the story-driven gameplay Telltale is known for.”

Telltale has proven themselves to be in a class of their own as master story tellers in interactive entertainment – and they keep getting better and better,” added Randy Pitchford, president of Gearbox Software. “The collaboration on Tales from the Borderlands has been a tremendous joy and seeing what I believe is the best first episode they’ve ever created from their effort and talent is very exciting for me as a fan and as a partner.”
