Destiny Has Gone Gold, Bungie Preps for the Long Haul

You can almost smell Destiny at this point. The discs are being pressed and prepped for shipment as we speak and we cannot contain our excitement. It’s big news for Bungie as this will be their biggest launch since Halo and for Activision who hopes Destiny joins the ranks of billion-dollar franchises like Call of Duty and Skylanders.

It’s almost inevitable that the servers get hammered on day one but Bungie is confident that the servers will hold up well. To celebrate this momentous occasion, Bungie has posted some information on their weekly update blog about the development process as well as some PAX Prime details and answering questions on their Bungie Mail Sack segment.

So sit back and just watch the Destiny Launch trailer over and over again in anticipation. There’s even a dragon in there somewhere. Destiny releases September 9th 2014 on PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
