CES 2014 | Nvidia Simplifies GameStream with Certified PCs, Routers

When Nvidia originally announced the Shield, they showed off the device’s ability to stream games from a PC onto a portable device. The idea of the technology is great, but it requires specific requirements for the GameStream technology to work at it’s best. In an attempt to make the purchasing process a lot easier, Nvidia has announced a line of “GameStream-ready” certified PCs as well as Wi-Fi routers. They’ve also already announced that a handful of well known computer providers and manufacturers are already on board.

As far as the list for pre-built PC providers goes, Nvidia has stated that they have teamed up with with iBuyPower, Origin, CyberPowerPC, and a few others. There are also a handful of GameStream-ready certified routers. For instance, specific routers from Asus, Buffalo, D-Link, and Netgear are on the certified list.

If you would like a breakdown of the entire list for GameStream-ready devices and hardware, Nvidia has released the full details here.
