What We Played During Week 20

Welcome to Press Start (What We Played)! This is a weekly segment that dives into what we here at The Game Fanatics have played during this past week. What did you game?

Jen:

Went back and forth between two DDR games; Dance Dance Revolution Extreme and DDR Max on Ps2. I’m thinking about taking out my Xbox and playing the DDR games for that system. I also played a little bit of New Super Mario Bros 2 and SWTOR.

Arnell:

Downloaded and beat Super Metroid (Wii U VC). Such an incredible game. I haven’t played it since it was originally released on the SNES and it definitely holds up. And getting it for 30 cents was way more than worth it.

Ben:

I’m still slowly continuing through Persona 4 Golden. Super awesome game. Then I checked out Kyntt Underground which is a pretty cool platformy metroidvania type thing. I was really enjoying it until the game’s second chapter when you play as this super bouncy ball that was really frustrating to control and made me stop playing. Then I played Super Mario World because I was bored. Also because I had never played more than the first few levels before.

Luis:

I found myself playing some pretty old games this past week. I’ve been inching my way through the original Half-Life on PC and I’m pretty close to finishing the game. I picked up the original Sonic the Hedgehog originally for the Sega Genesis on my iPhone. It’s surprisingly easy to play on iOS. I’ve also been revisiting Mirrors Edge in an effort to get a platinum trophy for a pretty old PS3 game the graphics still hold up. And lastly I picked up Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare because I didn’t have enough games I was playing already. And I don’t know if this counts, but I had a dream I was playing The Last of Us last night. I really, really want to play that game already.
