Sony Pictures and Ubisoft saw great success in 2011 having the top selling movie licensed game in the United States, The Smurfs Dance Party. That same year The Smurfs feature film brought in over $560 million worldwide at the box office. Hoping to continue the success they saw in 2011, Sony Pictures and Ubisoft’s The Smurf’s 2 video game will be an action-packed adventure platformer for all ages, giving players an interactive experience through the Smurf’s Village, New York City, The Arctic Tundra and The Lava Jungle. Players will control one of nine different Smurf’s with different special abilities, and play through more than 30 levels in six different locations.

Some of the Smurf’s abilities include Papa Smurf throwing magic potions that can stun your enemies, stomping on them as Grouchy Smurf, and becoming a platform to reach special items by striking a pose using Vanity Smurf. The Smurf’s 2 will be 1 to 4 players, which means friends can join in the fun through multiplayer, with a 5th player being able to jump on and control Clockwork Smurf, exclusively with the Wii U using the Wii U GamePad.
