Halo 4 | Halo: Silentium Release Gives Fans Extra Content

by Enis TezcanFebruary 12, 2013

Tor Books and are getting ready to offer bonus material coming out with the latest book in the Forerunner Saga written by Greg Bear.

Set to release March 19th, 2013, Tor and 343 Industries will be sending out encrypted messages throughout Waypoint bulletins and forums so that fans may unlock additional content such as possible new armor customizations and additional XP. There will also be embedded data in the text of the Halo: Silentium, paperback and e-books.

Communications have already begun and will continue to until March 19th.

Just what exactly might unlock for us is still unknown, hopefully though we’ll see some more COUGAR-Class Armor such as the FOTUS-armor that was available through purchasing the limited-edition console. For those that don’t know, but the FOTUS armor is a part of a division called COUGAR-class where specific regulations have to be met by the Spartan wearing the armor. I have been known to over analyze things, but this is my best guess at one of the few things we’ll see.

As stated above, be sure to visit halowaypoint.com bulletins and forums. When the book comes out, make sure to pick it up to get a look at the embedded data.
