Remember that “mysterious” Game Day ad? The one with the lady in white that everyone thought looks like God of War? Sony has released a slightly extended version, and yeah, it’s totally God of War.
The God of War Ascension Super Bowl teaser starts with the same woman, this time with a small girl. She runs off, leaving the woman. The two might be Kratos’ wife and daughter, whom SPOILER he killed in fit of rage during a flashback in the first God of War. END SPOILER Armed Roman-style guards appear, the girl looks up, and then everything turns to ash, and a pained hand grabs as much as it can before it fades away. It’s all very vague, that’s to be sure, so is there anything story-wise that can be gained from the trailer?
We know God of War: Ascension is a prequel, and appears to take place before the PSP entry God of War: Chains of Olympus. We also know his origin, how he served Ares, and how his skin became so pale. The trailer hints that we may see those critical moments in Ascension. Whatever happens, though, expect lots of blood.
