I have a 2008 Volvo XC90, and the wheels get stained with brake dust every week or 2. I clean them off with a towel, and when I wash my XC90 I clean it off too. Are there any other effective or easier ways to get brake dust off the wheels? Is there any way to get brake dust to stop collecting on them? Thanks a lot!
Our thermostat in our house is in our kitchen/diningroom. We spend alot of time in this area. Because of the lights, this area heats up and causes the thermostat to register warmer than what it should, making the furnace not run. The rest of the house ends up being realllllllly cold.
We keep a fan running, all the time, in this area because it helps the air flow and helps the thermostat not to “warm-up”. Every month or so I turn off the fan and the fan is full of dust. I keep my house dusted, but the fan is caked with it. Yuck! Why is this?
My house gets exceptionally dusty year round. I noticed some dark dust around the heating vent in my washroom. We don’t keep the windows open that much and I know we get dust from the yard through the back door. Is there any way of actually testing dust to find out if it’s from the outdoors, sheetrock, animals, etc?
I have several air filters, but it seems like I am constantly dusting to no avail. How can I slow down the speed at which dust builds up?
The chair leg bottoms attract dust like a magnet. There will be dust there and nowhere else in the room. Is there anything I can coat the chair leg bottoms with to prevent them acting like a dust magnet?
Everyday, when I wake up, there’s always dust everywhere. There dust on my desk, my lamp, and on my windows.
How do I reduce dust and reduce further formation?
We just put hardwood flooring in our basement and have noticed the dust bunnies kinda getting out of control. My mom’s vacuum is a pain to lug up and down the stairs so what would be a good kind of dust mop to have on hand to do the weekly dusting with. Are those swifters, okay or is there something better? And is a dry cloth duster better than a wet duster or vice versa?
My computer attracts a lot of dust and makes everything around it dusty. My computer is in my room next to the door and there is a window on the left wall. Without moving my computer, is there some way to get rid of all this dust? Is there some sort of machine that will constantly and quietly suck up or trap all of the dust?
I was robbed and my house was ransacked. The police tested for fingerprints all over my jewelry box. Some of the dust landed on the cream colored interior of my jewelry box. I’ve tried vacuuming and cleaning it with Hot Shot (this carpet cleaner got the dust out of my carpets) and neither worked.
I am well aware I can buy a duster to take care of dust after it has fallen all over my furniture, but how can I combat dust before it ever falls, like while it’s in the air? I live near an interstate, which makes things extra dusty. Or is it possible to basically prevent dust in my home?
I run a humidifier in my home, does that help the dust situation?
I’m planning on making a white fondant cake with gold pearl dust on it. I know you mix the pearl dust with either vodka or vanilla extract to make it shimmery but how to you apply it onto the cake? With a brush? Is it a special kind of brush? If so, where can I buy it? Thanks!
I feel like all I do is dust! I have put away a lot of things because I just don’t want to have so many nic nacs to dust. We change the filter on the AC every month. I don’t have the windows open this time of year yet everytime I turn around it needs to be done again. Could it be because I don’t use an actual product to dust with, like Pledge? I am allergic to it so I usually use just a wet rag or swiffers. Any suggestions?
I do use Windex too.
It is so annoying. I dust the entertainment center, I dust the bookshelves, I dust the end tables. I look over at the entertainment center and dust has settled on it already. There has to be something I am doing wrong.
I have computer that I build since three years and I haven’t clean it often. My programs stopping running. Is it easy to clean the dust off inside the computer because I can see a lot of dust on my cpu fan and rest of my computer components. I am planning to do the clean during the summer.
Does Dust cost the computer to crash and shut down?
My girlfriends room is laminate floor (wood) and there is so much dust in her room -_- its hell.
When we clean the dust comes back the next day and it builds up so easily
Is there any way that we can get rid of it?
