CEO of , Yoshimi Yasuda, was happy to announce that shipments worldwide for Lollipop Chainsaw has exceeded the 700,000 mark. Grasshopper CEO, , said that it was the highest shipment figure ever for his company.

In celebration, Suda 51 shared the very first promotional video for Killer is Dead, Grasshopper’s newest project. It was brought to Suda’s attention that Yasuda had apparently edited the trailer just for the event itself which was a surprise to Suda himself.

The trailer gave us just a tiny glimpse of what was to come. Even though the katana wielding man with a cybernetic arm in cobat had cell shading similar to No More Heroes, the color effects and style of the combat gave the impression of a new style following Shadow of the Damned and Lollipop. Suda commented about Killer is Dead and said that he couldn’t go too much into detail at the present time of the event. He did say, however, that just how Lollipop Chainsaw featured a new female character as the main protagonist, for Killer is Dead he wanted to make a “new hero” as well. We can surely expect more girls among the new heroes in Killer is Dead, Suda assured. He’s hoping to tell a new story of this new which carries over the tradition of Killer 7 and No More Heroes as well.
