What We Played | July 23 – 29

This is a weekly segment where we share what games we are currently playing for our readers to get to know us a bit better. Said games can range from retro to current and from casual to FPS games. If we’re playing it, we’ll share it. Please feel free to comment with what you’re playing or your opinions on the games that we’re involved with.

Ryan: Spent the week working on Batman: Arkham City and Portal 2. haven’t beat either of them yet, but have been wanting to for a long time. Tried All Points Bulletin: Reloaded as well, but I got booted from the sever every 2 minutes, so I gave up.

Jen: I’ve fallen into the SWTOR/Bejeweled 3 habit. Got my Dark Jedi to level 45 and she’s causing all sorts of trouble on Voss, which is one of my favorite planets. B3 gets played when I want to fall asleep or when I’m on the exercise bike. Which reminds me, I should start up with ITG and DDR again.

Ben: I finally beat Dragon’s Dogma, which was a great game even though it had its faults—like the quest system. Besides that, I just relaxed and saw Batman for the second time.

John: I’ve had almost no time to game as of late, but when I do find the time I jump on Mass Effect MP and try to promote as many characters as I can. I’m pretty sure I’ll be playing ME3 MP for quite a while.

Jeff: It’s taken longer than I expected, but I’ve finally completed all three Metroid Prime games. Echoes is still my favorite of the trilogy, but each of them offered a unique and memorable experience. I spent a little more time in the Metroid universe with Metroid Fusion, wrapping up a save file that I’d had sitting halfway done for months. In between, I had some local multiplayer fun with some older sports titles and Unreal Tournament 3.
