E3 Staying In LA

Since 1995, the has been mostly held in Los Angeles, and a deal has been reached for three more years.Earlier concerns about floor space and nearby construction caused the ESA, who hosts the show, to look elsewhere. But things have been worked out, and will stay right at home for the show’s 20th anniversary.

ESA’s commitment to remain in Los Angeles is a critical endorsement of Los Angeles as one of the nation’s most important convention destinations. Working with ESA to provide the confidence in scheduling they have requested has truly been a collaborative effort. We are also grateful to ESA for their thoughtful input into the design plans which will result in the most efficient and modern facilities that will not only benefit E3 but all of the new conventions that will come to Los Angeles. On behalf of our City and AEG, thank you ESA, we won’t let you down.”  -Timothy J. Leiweke, President & CEO, AEG

The 2013 show will be different, however. It will still be held in the L.A. Convention Center, but will also be spread across L.A. Live and several other venues across the city. Next year’s show will take place June 11-13, and we’ll be there. Just look for the biggest grin you can find, it’s probably us.

  1. I’m going to be in LA for E3 and I’m meeting up with a bunch of fellow podcasters/bloggers who are coming in from the UK.

I’d love to take them out for a great breakfast, some serious footie drinking and a bunch of national pride. I’m from out of town, and I’d like to take them to a spot that would give them a great time and show them that we do, indeed, support soccer.

Suggestions for the best place in the LA area to view the game (that would be enjoyable to real Brits who can tell the difference between fake British pub and real British pub)? We’ll be staying downtown near the LA Conference Center, but I’ll probably rent a car.

For those of you unaware, E3 stands for Electronic Entertainment Expo.
To put it in simple terms, it is the Superbowl for gamers that lasts three days.
    Anyone else been doing this?

MQ: Favorite song you found from a video game?
    MQ: Are you a gamer?

    BQ: Now Playing?
BQ: Which game announced at E3 are you most looking forward to?
    BQ: Anime; yay or nay?
    @KP
I highly recommend Dragon Age 2 and Dragon Age Origins if you can get your hands on it. Really amazing games.

And actually there were a couple Star Wars games announced.

I’m going to upgrade to a Microsoft Xbox because my Nintendo Wii is defected. So should I buy an Xbox now, or wait until the next E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) in June 2011 for a possible announcement of an updated version of the Xbox?

  6. I want a good quality, accurate, hard shooting, and reliable airsoft Aeg gun. Which gun is the best bang for the buck and costs LESS than $170.
    Please help.

I have an AEG rated for 400 FPS, but one of the places where I go to play has a maximum of 385. I know you can buy new springs, but I have no idea what kind of spring to get. I’m still a noob to airsoft so I’m trying to get my set up started.

  8. My budget is 100$ preferable less. I want an AEG that has a good fps, a good rate of fire, and good accuracy.

  9. I’m new in airsoft. I heard that most electric guns also use springs for propulsion of the airsoft pellet. So I was wondering, if an airsoft AEG pistol for example, loads itself the same way a spring gun (pulling back the slide), can that AEG gun be used as a spring gun if it doesn’t have battery?
