Hello, True Believers! This has been a great week in the world of comics. Lots of good stuff out. Let me touch on a few very briefly. There are new issues of American Vampire and Uncanny X-Force. As always, both are fantastic reads.Vampire continues part two of The Blacklist arc, and is very good. Interesting to see Pearl and Skinner working side by side. X-Force continues its Final Execution arc. This issue expands into unexpected, but exciting new territory. The end is also very unexpected and makes me eager for the next issue. Buy these two, as always.
I love Wolverine and the X-Men #14 for two main reasons. First, it’s a great Kitty issue. Just in case you had forgotten how awesome she is. Run a school full of dangerous, hormonal and crazy teenage mutants while Logan is out stabbing? No problem! Dinner with the ex-boyfriend who now has the power of two angry and violent gods? Sure, why not. What’s the worst that could happen? Second, this issue does a good job of showing that the X-Men are starting to question the Phoenix Five. They’re starting to realize it’s not all sunshine and puppies. Makes me excited for the final act of Avengers VS X-Men.
X-TREME X-MEN #1!! Coming at you right out of Astonishing X-Men (Exalted arc). This NEW series features kid Nightcrawler, General James Howlett, and Emmaline Frost-Summers, and … the Dazzler. Also, many many body-less heads of Charles Xavier. The gist: alternate versions of Wolverine, Emma Frost and Nightcrawler (and the 616 Dazzler) travel from dimension to dimension and fight bad guys and fix things. Sound familiar? It should. Similar premise to The Exiles, which was one of my favorite series, and I’m hoping this shapes up to be a very solid reality-hopping run. This first series is fun. Not amazing, but still quite fun and definitely worth reading. Kid Nightcrawler and Gen. Howlett are worth the price of admission. Great cover.
One comic I don’t want to fail to mention is Debris, a new mini-series from Image. This follows the story of Maya, a protector of one of the remaining small villages in what appears to be post-apocalyptic world. Appears to be only a handful of humans left, and they have to deal with mechanical animal, most notably the giant wyrms. Kinda reminiscent of Enslaved , if you played that. The coloring is great, the action is really fun, and Maya is a pretty cool character. It’s slated for four issues, but hopefully it will sell and we will get more. Be sure to pick this up! I really don’t think you be disappointed.
Garrus! Garrus freakin’ Vakarian! Mass Effect Homeworlds #3 focuses on my second favorite character in the Mass Effect universe (Shepard being my first). Too be honest, there’s not too much in here that’s not told in the game, apart from more details on Garrus’ strained relationship with his dad. Several of the lines are lifted straight from the game. So it’s not a must read, but for Garrus fans like myself, it’s a fun read.
Lastly, fans of Karma will want to pick up Astonishing X-Men #52 as she takes the center role. X-Men Legacy #270 features Rogue and Ms.Marvel fighting their way out of Limbo. It’s Legacy, you know what you’re getting. Although sadly, it will be concluded this fall. Stay tuned to next week, when we’ll have the first issue of the final part of Avengers VS X-Men. Until then!

I saw this vampire movie in Chicago back in 1992 on channel 50 and I really liked the movie, any ways I want to see it again. I remember the movie being a love story line and the ending was pretty cool. I remember the Vampire falling in love with a woman and she having his baby in some church while they where about to get married or something and some vampire slayer is attacking him and trying to kill him in this church. Does anyone know what I am talking about?

Hi all! I’ve been searching for a certain horror movie lately. Here’s a little description of it. From what I remember about it, there was a white man (he looked Italian) with dark hair who sometimes transferred into a werewolf, especially in the snow. I remember him in the movie attacking and killing certain people whenever the moon would come out. Later on in the movie, I think he gets kidnapped by three or so beautiful women and they take him to a cave in the snow. I assume it is in a winter temperature snow setting because furry coats were sometimes worn on folks in the movie. The women seduce him sexually. However, later on in the movie, when he discovers they’re bloodsucking vampires, he fights them and he fights for his life. From remembering the film’s choreography in my head, I think it was filmed sometime in the 1970′s or 1980′s. I liked it. I actually can see the movie in my head but I don’t remember the name of it. I think it went something like “… Night.” It was really a good horror movie in my opinion. Can you tell me the name of this old, classic American werewolf/vampire movie that I can’t find anywhere? It’s for a story I’m writing, based off of Twilight. I guess some character background would be helpful in naming him…
He’s approximately 140 years old. He feeds on humans. He exploits a girl named Isadore (who’s the main character) and uses her extremely strong fear of death to control her. He absuses her, finding it fascinating incrediably frail humans are, but never kills her. He uses her (in the story) to get inside a pack of werewolves that he wants to destroy. He’s really really violent, but he’s not scary in that sense. He’s also a living lie detector-that’s his “power”. You probably won’t get that unless you’ve read Twilight.
Name ideas? I want something not really exotic but not really common. And not James. (Sorry, I’ve been suggested that waaay too many times)

Wolverine’s name is James Howlett??? So gay!!! He’s the illigitamate son of an Grounds Keeper!!! What??? He’s a spoiled,…sickly rich boy??? Who is so lame, that his parents have to hire children to play with him???
And, he’s not even all that old!!! I and pretty much everyone I ever talked to thought he was like,… 200 years old plus,…. but, he actually only barely 100. He used to have a cool past where he was a samurai in feudal Japan and, like so many other cool memories,….Now the Origin story is basically saying that he imagined it all,…as a result of memory implants,….So stupid!!!!
My point is,… I HATE THE WOLVERINE ORIGIN STORY!!! I think its 100% pure garbage!!! I stronly STRONGLY preferred it when Wolverine didn’t know his own past! Because that origin story RUINED his charactor!!! Forever!!!!!!!!!!

Can you check this for me please just to see if i have missed anything or wrote anything i shouldn’t have. Yes i will have this if necessary, I don’t really want to tear. I have done alot of research on this and there are many opinions on what’s best. Basically i want to stay as neat as possible down there so if a Episiotomy is better for this then i will want it done but i want a local anistetic and only if it’s the best option. This is my first pregnancy and don’t have any experience in this so i am putting my trust in what you think is right.
Delivery of the placenta:
I don’t mind what you want to do with it after, you have permission to donate it.(i don’t want to see it either) I would like an injection to help deliver it if it is taking too long to do it naturally.

I would ideally like my labour to go as smoothly as possible and if I have it my way my waters will break Naturally , Go to the ABC Unit and have Gas & air and Pethidine and all will be fine. But if thing’s are not as simple as that and I have to be induced or in alot of pain then I will be opting for an epidural. I am most worried about the pain so I am not going to put a brave face on and pretend I am superwomen so if I want an epidural I would like to be given 1 and not to be told to see how I go, Given that I would still like to be mobile.
I tend to react if someone shouts at me so it will be best to let me get on with my moaning rather than telling me to stop. I listen to what people are telling me to do so I will co-operate but I don’t like being shouted at.
I would like to use the birthing pool when possible and birthing ball,(I can bring my own ball if necessary) I will bring some C.D’s with my own music to play if and when I can use the C.D player.

I was thinking of picking up a vampire comic book. I am stuck between I, Vampire from the DCnU and American Vampire. I here they are both good, but I also hear I, Vampire makes you read Justice League Dark, which I hear is also good. Which is better and for what reasons in your opinion?

Well, I just watched X-Men Origins: Wolverine with my husband, a total comic book nerd and he didn’t like the movie. For reasons he said “would take all night to tell you, and you wouldn’t want to watch it again”
Anywho.. I’ve got a question about it, like… I know Wolverine’s name is James Howlett and the reason he calls himself “Wolverine” but where does the name Logan come in? About 1/3 of the way into the movie (after leaving the “group” ) people start randomly calling him Logan? In the 6 years out of the film did he just one day say to himself “I don’t like the name James, call me Logan” Is there a reason behind it?

Got like 3 problems.
1. It says on Wiki that Wolverine was actually born in 1880 (Born as James Howlett[1] in the 1880s, and commonly known as Logan). But in X-Men Evolution(which was made in 2001-2002) he was still alive? I mean wth? He should be like 120 yrs. old by now.
2. Who is Daken? His son?
3.On X-Men Evolution, episode 11 I think.. He went somewhere where he killed a professor who actually “made” him. But in the movie, X-Men Origins, He wasn’t made but he was rather born with claws(kind of wood). Then he went with Sabertooth to the army, was put to jail and was recruited by a guy. He then quitted the group he got recruited in and married someone. But he was also found by Sabertooth and was brought to a lab. They then made his claws better (like steel?). Then he just went out after they made him better?
Who should we believe the series or the movie?
