I gasped for air and seized his arm, twisting it with narrow-eyed fervor. My attacker didn’t shake off my grasp.
“Tricky. But just not good enough,” I taunted, ready to knee his abdomen.
But my posture was too far forward, sending me off balance and not pprepared for the attack. He noticed, and hooked his long leg behind my calves, sending me sprawling to the ground.
Staring there, lying with my face to the ceiling, my thoughts flashed back to a morning nearly a year agol. I knew that trick, knew it well. It was impossible, unbelievable- he was here!
The man leaned over as I lie there prone, pressing me to the floor as he trapped me. He didn’t bother to hold up his weight, though he wasn’t that heavy. Just hard as a rock.

Throughout the novel, I have noticed that Socrates doesn’t change in area of physical toughness. His physical ability remains the same. Mr. Lomax from Cherry Hill Developers sends two African American to empty out Socrates apartment because Socrates was living there illegally. When Socrates saw these men’s throwing his sofa and he had tears in his eyes as he approached. Socrates said to them “you lookin’ to be two dead men” you better get out of here before he was more angrier. Once again, Socrates was an underdog and was twice older than these mens. The men started attacking Socrates but Socrates grabbed by his hair and threw him into the ground. Socrates then picked up the steel pipe that was in his yard and told them to get out from here and he warned them to stay away. We can see how strong Socrates is even when is old. Nothing has changed in his physical toughness. He is not afraid of anyone and believes he is the strongest in LA.

I feel like seeing Dark Knight Rises but not for about a month because of the violent shooting in Colorado. I feel like it would be like if Independence Day had been out during 9/11 or a violent war attack movie during Pearl Harbor. Do others share this feeling or are you sticking to plans to see Dark Knight Rises. My brother went because he didn’t want to let an evil coward (the Aurora Shooter) ruin a good movie.

Since it has been announced (true or not) that The Dark Knight Rises is being post converted into 3D, will I still be able to watch the film premier night in 2D, in an IMAX theater? Thanks.

Taken from two books. I don’t own the rights to either, but both are copyrighted. I know you don’t know what the plot is or who the characters are (unless you happen to have read them), but just based off the writing…which is better? Not the technical writing, but which writing draws you in more, makes you interested more? Is it a LOT better than the other choice, or just a little? Thanks!

I stared at the face of the man who was about to die- who wanted me dead. With him unconscious, Kyle’s face was no longer that of an angry animal. It was relaxed, almost peaceful.
The resemblance to his brother was very apparent.

Wow. Okay, confession time. I lied- I actually did write the second one, it’s from a novel I’m halfway through, but I wanted some unbiased oppinions who weren’t trying to make me feel good.
