With the news about cryengine 3, I was thinking about what kind of graphics card i would need to play crysis 2. I already have an EVGA 9600GT, and i was thinking about upgrading soon. Does anyone have a recommendation for what i should upgrade to? My price range is: maximum $250

Now, I downloaded the beta with the editor, but, I’m not sure how to start it. When I run the .exe, it says ‘sandbox;, and doesn’t go anywhere. Then crashes. Any help please? With either of them.

I recently got interested in 3D modeling and I want to know which one should I use. If you can pls name as well the pros and cons of each program and any other useful info. I want to get a laptop in the $500-600 that can the run the Crytek CryEngine 3.I want it to run smoothly and at high detail.

I recently purchased Crysis as a digital download via Gamefly. I have been unable to find the Sandbox 2 installed, editor, or anything even remotely related to it included with the downloaded or installed files. I tried to check CryTek’s site, but they only offer the CryEngine 3 mods SDK and editor. Is it possible to use this editor with Crysis?
I would rather not have to buy Crysis 2 because I still haven’t really gotten started in Crysis. I spent a while trying to find mods for the game to get the “photorealistic” graphics, but even finding mods for this game has gotten difficult… So, if anyone knows any sites that still host Crysis mods, please include that as well.

Im working with cryengine 3 right now, and im trying to make an fps game. Something really crazy and different from others.
Is there any type of program that lets players create a character… well for an example, i guess sometimes when you first start and rpg game, you can create a character,edit clothes,hair,height,face, etc.
Is there any program associated with the cryengine 3 or 3Ds max to help me do this.
Not a program to create characters for a game, but an in game character creator for the players.
Also are there any programs to help me create characters for the game. To create characters and set animations they do, like jumping,climbing, crouching, etc. I think i am supposed to use maya, from autodesk. I do have it downloaded, but im not sure if I am supposed to use that or another program.

when i open editor there is text that ps3 is not connected i found somwhere that ps3 can be connected to cryengine 3 with dev kit i just need tutorial.
cryengine 3 is also using megatexture technology developed by john carmack. which do you think will be a better engine?
