The latest Steelseries gaming headset is now available and its keeping things frosty. The Steelseries Siberia V2 Frost Blue comes in a cool white with 16 LED lights built into the earcups that burn a brilliant blue when the headset is in use. Supported by the Steelseries Engine software, the new Frost Blue includes a retractable noise-canceling microphone, an intergrated USB soundcard, 50mm drivers for consistent high quality audio at high, low and mid tones, integrated volume and mic control on the cord as well as being lightweight for maximum comfort (something I personally always look for a good headset for long hours in front of my gaming rig).
Here’s a look at some of the more technical specifications:
- Frequency response: 18 – 28,000 Hz
- Impedance: 40 Ohm
- Cable length: 3 ft.
- USB Cable extension: 6.5 ft.
Microphone
- Frequency response: 50 – 16,000 Hz
- Pick up pattern: Uni-directional
- Sensitivity: -38 dB
- Active noise reduction: Up to 20dB
The Steelseries Siberia V2 Frost Blue is now available and retails for $119.99.

I mean it says it has an RCA ending but wouldn’t that create two different input/outputs? (HDMI and RCA)
And I don’t have a headphone jack.

I’ve just bought a Mackie Tapco Link USB Audio Interface and some M-Audio Studiophile DX4 Active Audio Monitors. The interface has 2 1/4″ jack outputs on the back, and the monitors have 2 1/4″ audio inputs. Can I use mono leads to link them or will I need stereo cables?
I want to record good audio quality while filming a video for a class project but its tough due to bad default audio quality. Are there any items that can record audio so i can easily connect it to my laptop and sync it with the visuals.

I am running windows movie maker on windows xp. I have wmv video clip in which I need a part of the video to be beeped out or deleted. I downloaded the beep sound mp3 file but when I add it to the clip. The audio from the movie is louder than the bleep audio. So I need the beep sound there but also I need to only delete or tone down the audio of that portion of the video clip. I hope I making sense. Thank you.
Is lossless when sound quality is not lost when a song is ripped or is it when information from an audio file is not lost when an audio file is moved transferred and saved.
And is lossy when sound quality is lost when a song is ripped or is it when information from an audio file is lost when an audio file is moved transferred and saved.
I have heard both stories for each format but i dont think losing information from an audio file happens everytime it is moved transferred or saved regardless of the format, lossless or lossy.
I’m on Yahoo looking to download some Audio software. I want to mix together some songs/create a mix song. I was going to use several different parts of songs, but never the whole song.
I came across Yahoo Downloads beta. There are two catagories that caught my eye: Audio Mixers and Audio Splitter and Joiners Software. What is the difference between the two?
Also, which would be the best to get? Is there a catch that I don’t know about?
