Pew pew!
It was a 2D platform game and you were like a walking butter-nut squash looking thing. The only other thing I can remember is one of the bosses is a pirate parrot which kept jumping from different sides of the boat.
or something like that ???
ah bugger – waste of 5 points.

I have a few ideas about a platform game that I am going to make.
However I’m looking for some more and to see what people would like in a game aswell.
Any suggestions????
Personally I thought that new super mario bros for nintendo ds lacked imagination. The levels felt a tad repetitive, the bosses boring, the music dull, the backgrounds dull and plain.I think that it will never be as good as yoshi’s island(snes), super mario bros 3 and super mario world etc.
I’m just wondering what will happen to my psn and xbox arcade games once the next consoles show up. I usually like to return to old games and I don’t want to lose them forever. Anyone know if they have anything planned?
What are the cognitive skills developed by preschoolers in 2d platform computer games?
you can answer it directly if you want.
please provide me some links, books, ebooks(pdf..etc) links or any other resources that i can put in my research bibliography.
I’ve been looking for a while for a nice development tool/software and can’t find one I like.

I’m looking for a simple, but fun game to play on pc. It must have 2 player battles, and maybe tournaments. I’m looking for a game like street fighter iv, but obviously in 2d, and with a better flow to the game (faster movements/reaction time). Also I’m looking for a game with many different combos to use in-game.

I’m looking for a (preferably) free 2D platform game engine that’s programmed primarily in C or C++ (or uses those languages for programming).
Please don’t suggest Game Maker as it isn’t suitable for my needs.
It should support Windows and Linux though Windows-only is fine, too.
I’m looking to design a platform game and can’t seem to find anything that fits the bill.
Any ideas?
I played this game quite a few years ago where you play as a little green Troll. There’s a multiplayer function where you play as a green and a blue troll. It’s a platform 2D game where you jump on the platform beneath your enemy to kill it. As you progress the environment changes and you meet bosses. I remember one boss, a dinosaur in the end of an ice environment level. Do you know what the name of this game is?

I have tried using Game Maker, Platform Studios, and like a bunch of other stuff. I am an idiot, and just think that since things like Little Big Planet are possible now, that games like those on the SNES could be made by the common moron by now. Where can I find such a program to create a simple 2D video game, without having to bang my head on the keyboard for an hour just to realize that it won’t work?

The game was a 2D platform game where the player controlled a robot which had to move waste barrels to designated places around the level. The robot couldn’t jump, but could reach higher ground by of lifting itself by some sort of hydraulic system that raised, so it could then grab hold of the higher platform and finally lift its feet
Im trying to remember the name of an arcade game. Its a platform 2D game similar to ghouls and ghosts. Player 1 is a white guy and player 2 is a black guy with a beard. They use futuristic firearm weapons, one of which fires three streams of ammo. I remember one part of the game where bad guys ride at you on motorbikes and another part where a helicopter is hovering above you with some guys shooting at you while others are jumping from the chopper.
All i cam remember os that it was a 2D platform game like prince of persia. A pilot in a ww2 bomber gets transported back in time were you face Dinosaurs And other kinds of animals with a rifle That begins with you in the game. Hope someone can remember the name of this game.
Thanks
Hi I am looking to find a 2d gamemaker that will easily make a game like Day of The Tentacle or sam and max or a platform game?, without the programming being too hard and a proper user interface where I can place the characters on the map manually instead of typing their cordinates.
Thanks for your help
