Those who have purchased Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for the XB360 are now able to buy, download, and play the first DLC titled Dawnguard. This downloadable content indroduces the VolkiharVampire Lord, Harkon. Harkon is up to no good and it is up to the Dawnguard to stop him from using the Elder Scrolls for his own personal, evil, intent. The events begin once your character starts to hear rumors, which then will lead you to Fort Dawnguard.
The Dawnguard DLC gives the player a chance to either join with Harkon or to join the Dawnguard in order to stop the Vampire Lord. Either path you choose, each has their own perks. Being part of the Dawnguard will allow your Dragonborn to gain access to new weapons (like crossbows!) and armor as well as armored trolls for hire. Working along side Harkon could allow your character to become a Vampire Lord, which entitles your character to vampiric powers.
For 1600MSP, the Dawnguard DLC can be yours on XB360. No date as of right now for those who play Skyrim on PC and Ps3 since the XB360 has exclusive rights with Bethesda.

Alright, well I am now on the quest to read the scroll in the ancestral glade and I can’t exit because she isn’t with me. Where do I find her at? I need her to advance and be able to exit. So do you know where to find her?

Its been a few days and she hasn’t returned. I got dawnguard and after the main questline I asked her about marrying and she said not currently or something like that. I have gone up to other women in the game with the amulet of mara and nothing happens. Am i still married to her even though shes gone? Or is she dead but i can’t remarry? Also will Serena ever be able to marry? Thx

When you get turned into a Vampire your face is altered slightly ex. nose, mouth, eyes.
I am perfectly fine with the eyes but the nose and mouth screw me over, Is there a way to look somewhat normal? Like Serana? Can I just keep returning into a vampire and see if I look different each time?

So I went into a dungeon and told serana to wait somewhere in the dungeon and I left without her.
I forgot which dungeon it was so im pretty much stuffed.
This happened over 10 in-game days ago. She is meant to return to somewhere after 3 right?
Where will she be?

I’ve just finished the soul cairn; and I returned to the Dawnguard. Where, I told Serana that we should part ways. Only now I cannot find her anywere! (I sided with the Dawnguard, if you can’t tell.) Where does she go?! I checked at her mother’s labortory thing, as well. And searched all over fort dawnguard.
I have just hit level 11 Vampire Lord and I want to cure it so I can get level 11 Werewolf. I am planning on contacting Vampirism immediately after. I was wondering if; 1. I would be able to return to Vampire Lord (I know you can contract Vampirism again, but Vampire Lord?) and 2. If I would be the same level as I left it at. I want to remain a Vampire because I prefer its mechanics and abilities but I don’t want to start over level-wise.
I have also beaten the entire Dawnguard quest-line on the Vampire side, if that helps.
My next question is about my ‘Fragmented Soul.’ Upon entering the Soul Cairn as a Dawnguard, you must put part of your soul into a soul gem to offer it to the Ideal Masters. I read that you can get it back, but I am not sure how. Is it in a random chest? Must I have been a Dawnguard to make it appear in the first place? What can I do with it afterwords?
Yet another question I have: What all does the ‘Soul Husk Merchant’ have to offer me? Is there a complete list of his wares yet? I’ve collected about 60 Soul Husks (so I can get two things) but I may be obsessively compelled to complete a set if one exists, which does not tend to happen if I can see his wares.
My next question is about the Boneman spell tome. I’ve found the Wrathman and Mistman tomes but I can’t find the Boneman tome! I was also wondering if there were any other tomes that I might be interested in obtaining.
My last question pertains to the Reaper Soul Gem Fragments. I know what they do, but I can’t find the third one. I read somewhere that they are in random chests guarded by the Ideal Masters which are dotted across the plain (Fun Fact: Soul Cairn is a plain of Oblivion
).

I started the quest blood on the ice, by mistake actually, the guard just starting talking to me and i found it interesting so i decided to continue it, im at the part where i just searched hjeirm, found the amulet and investigated everything in the house, i bought the house during the quest. it just says ask flogner or whatever Ulfrics stewards name is for assistance, which there was never a dialouge option for him to help me, just permisson to investigate, i just found the amulet and he said talk to the camisto and i did, he said it belongs to the court mage, so i returned to the steward and i can only ask do you know anything about this amulet which he says ask that guy again, so im juist going in circles, i talked to the court mage and i cant ask about it, i can only ask about training in destruction and whats for sale. i saved and tried selling it to that guy and maybe that would work but no luck, i cant continue and i can t purchase upgrades for my house either. please help, i also already checked the wiki and theres no bugs on there that relate to my issue. ive completed this quest before on a different character just fine. it just has an uncomplete objective that says get the stewards assistance, and follow up on clues from hjeirm. its really frustrating me cause i just paid 12,000 gold for that house an i cant even store my stuff in it. i just bought dawnguard too if that has anything to do with it. ive found his journals and read them, i tried talking to viola and she wont open up a conversation box. nothing seems to be working. i joined the stormcloaks and i just captured white run in the civil war quests, im a level 30 nord.

So i want to ask a couple of questions about the new werewolf and vampire stuff.
1-You can activate Vampire Lord as much as you want in a day. Can you do the same with the Werewolf now?
2-Are the vampire and werewolf powers and perks only available if you received the werewolf / vampire blood during the dawngaurd questline or also if you receive the blood from the original questline? (ie companions, infected by other vampire)
3-I am curently a vampire but i haven’t done the companions quests yet, will i be able to return to being a vampire after i received the werewolf blood from aela?
4-If i remove my vampire powers and decide i want them back later in the game. Would i still have the same perks as when i removed my powers?

Ever since I downloaded the new dawnguard dlc along with patch 1.7.7.0.6 I haven’t been able to attack with my character. Power attacks that use stamina work, but not regular attacks. If I untick dawnguard.esm in the data files then everything returns back to normal but if I tick it then the problem occurs. I need to know what the problem is and how to fix it.
I entered the soul cairn by letting Serana soul trap me. After I left I did not grab the gem with my soul and completed the story line I wanted to return to the soul cairn. So I had Serana change me into a Vampire and still cant enter the soul cairn, so tell me have I screwed myself?
I am a very big fan of the Elder Scrolls games an i remember in Daggerfall the description of Auriel’s Bow had something to do with abandoning its user after its power was drained. Well the other day when right after completing “No One Escapes Cidhna Mine”(which is notorious for not returning items) i went threw my invent only to find that Auriel’s Bow had disappeared and i now need a simple way of Hex editing it back into my console game(Xbox) also from what ive read on forums Hex editing Dawnguard items is different from regular vanilla game items so i need an tutorial not an example of either replacing 1234 Septims(gold) with Auriels Bow or replacing a Bone Hawk Amulet with Auriels bow, I am on an Xbox 360 using Horizon and Hex Workshop.(and if it helps its the barrel in front of the Sleepy Giant Inn in Riverwood) and please keep in mind that hex editing Dawnguard items is very different from vanilla items.
I spent quite a while in the Soul Cairn killing the keepers, killing the reaper, finding the opus, returning the horse’s skull, and I really don’t want to spend the time going back there for nothing. It wasn’t my favorite place, and it takes forever to get there and back. So, if I sided with the Dawnguard and completed the quest, can I convince Valerica to return and grow her shrubbery in the castle courtyard if I am not the vampire lord? Also, is there a quicker way to get to the Soul Cairn rather than climbing through all the ruins? Thanks!

A few months ago, i downloaded dawnguard for xbox 360 – everything was going well until i entered : the soul cairn. i finished everything in that area – including the arvak skull quest. when i exited the soul cairn with serana, we headed for ice water jetty – so i could collect shadowmere. he/she (shadowmere) was there looking absolutely fine. it was at this point, i remembered i had a spell to summon arvak to skyrim, so, i summoned that horse and headed back to whiterun riding arvak. to cut the long story short – the novelty quickly worn off with arvak, and i fast travelled back to ice water jetty to collect shadowmere. well, when i arrived, she wasn’t there? so, i began investigating where he/she was. i can’t find shadowmere anywhere, i have even returned to the falkreath dark brotherhood sanctuary pool, he/she isn’t there and it’s the same story with the dawnstar sanctuary. i reloaded a old save file to see if this was a one-off, well, it happens with that as well. this is a bug that comes with arvak? it doesn’t happen with other horses `just arvak`
i have been looking for months and i still can’t find shadowmere anywhere. if he/she is dead i can’t find the body either. Anyone else have this problem?

I was running around my Skyrim with serana and did the mercer frey quest at snow veil sanctum where i assume mercer frey (faggot) replaces my companion. problem is after finishing the quest and talking to karliah, i ran around for about 5 mins and quicksaved then went to bed.
turned skyrim on again and noticed that serana never came back. i fast travelled and she hasnt returned. i waited 3 days and she didnt respawn at either volkihar balcony or fort dawnguard.

Ok so skyrim won goty and bethesda is going to release a goty version, well more then likely because they do with all their other games that win it. Just wondering how long does it usually take them to release one? For pc if that matters. And if it is a long time is it worth waiting for?
