Today more maps for the Face-Off game type have been released for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The release of this DLC for premium Elite members might be the last for new Face-Off maps. Three new maps for the game type called “Vortex, Intersection and U-Turn” are now available for download. Also, with this DLC a new Special Ops map called “Arctic Recon” is available. More information below about the four new maps.
- Arctic Recon is the Special Ops map that you are headed to a Russian battleship to destroy by airstrike. You get to fly a recon helicopter to plant beacons for the air strike meant to destroy the ship.
- Vortex is one of the new Face-Off maps that lands you in the danger zone of a tornado.
- U-Turn another new Face-Off map, on a 6 lane gridlocked highway. Perfect for sneaky snipers.
- Intersection the last Face-Off map in this DLC that places you in combat on a New York bridge overpass.

I like the type of maps news stations use for weather forecasts. I want to view one that is in color ( with all mountains and buildings). I would like to view a map like this but without the weather symbols. I’ve noticed that this type of map is seen when they zoom in instead of when just seeing it from the top.
I know you need the DLC costumes to preform certain fatalities. Can someone tell me how to unlock them, I already know Gamestop gave some kind of code out. Is there any other way to unlock these? Am i really going to believe the makers of the game are only going to allow a VERY select few who preordered the game to use those fatalities? Also you dont get all the codes by preordering at one place? This is very fustrating any info will be appreciated.
Only two maps show up, War chasers and some other one. There are a lot of maps in folder. I also downloaded a couple TD maps and DotA Allstars. I am playing on a MacBook and I downloaded the Mac client from Blizzard.
I just bought the Ghost Recon Future Soldier DLC ‘Arctic Strike’ from Gamestop. The DLC is released on XBL on July 3rd, but the receipt and power up rewards website say I won’t have the code until the 10th. Will that date change to when it is released or will I have to wait 7 days for the DLC I just purchased a week early?
I really hope they are or have. IS their any DLC for ANY assassins creed that gives us the peice of eden or anyway i can use it in single player?
Can two players (with different systems) play Call of duty black ops DLCs together if downloaded off one PSN account?
My friend and I would like to play Ascension together and only one of us have bought the DLC but the other wants to download off the account.. If he does download off my account can we play together or does he also have to buy the DLC?

If combat control and SEAL have the same standards of physical and mental capabilities … why would i join the air force…. and carry a radio pack when i could go be a better known SEAL elite warrior..with more combative training… it seems to me that SEALs train in every area CQB hand to hand arctic jungle etc.etc. what would make me go to the Air Force and have a more technical job…when SEALs are with in grasp as much as combat control…..apply’s to all special ops including Marine Force Recon Green Berets and so on….what makes one better or harder than the other …

his understanding of ‘WHATS OUT THERE’. Scouts operate on, or behind enemy lines. They are trained to find the bad guys, count there numbers, type of weapons, direction of movement. Kill them if nesasary, blow buildings and bridges, delay them if a unit has to withdrawl, and escape and evade thru enemy held territory if they are compromised. They are the commanders eyes and ears on the battle field. They are sent out in small teams, reliant on a radio for support, because they dont carry enuff ammo for an extended fire fight. they have to call tac air or artillery, or naval ships for fire support for big guns. When they leave the wire they are on there own. Rank has no place, except overall execution of the mission. Each man lives or dies fighting for the man on the right or left of him. Girls back home and moms pie doesnt inter the equasion. They operate at extended intervals, (days and weeks), when resupply can compromise them, and kill them. If you read the accounts of GARY LINDER, and other recon soldiers durring VIET NAM, you also will have the same question. Why is (RECON) so overlooked and under valued. All Recon Scouts since Viet Nam have been trained by the leasons they learned in that confict. I was privelidged to be trained by some of there own. I was trained by Recon, SF, Marine Recon and Korean Recon. I in turn have trained Army Rangers, and at one time the Dietroit National Guard how to sneek and peek. I was trained in Arctic warfare, demolitions, weapons of all enemy nations. Trained with Israiles, Arabs, Italians, Germans, Sweeds, English, and french troops. I am just a reflection of most recon scouts. During Viet Nam the DOD and all interested partys said that the life expectancy of a door gunner on a chopper was 8 seconds. The life expectancy of a SCOUT was 16 seconds. Why is there no recognition or tribute to these men, who daily risk there lives. Then and now. The job hasnt changed, just where the fights at.
I can play all of the new Multiplayer maps but when I try to play the Special Ops new Missions it says: “NEW MW3 CONTENT Enter Multiplayer and launch the Store to purchase new game content and Elite Premium Memberships.” I have downloaded the map already and everything that is available and It still wont let me play. I am an Elite Founder And Premium Member on Xbox360 and I have tried clearing my system Cache and it doesn’t make me update. No one else has this problem so it has to be me. The Mission is called Arctic Recon. If anyone knows how to fix this please let me know. Thanks in advance!

I think I covered everything
I just bought the Ghost Recon Future Soldier DLC ‘Arctic Strike’ from Gamestop. I joined the marines when I graduated high school. Made it into and through marine force recon training and did that for 5 years (2nd force) a lot of which I spent in the arctic.
I enrolled at the University of South Carolina, and am in my second semester here.
Thing is, I go to the gym here daily, usually run 4-5 miles around the track that do some bodyweight exercises (3-4 sets of 15-20 pull ups every M, W, F and 3 sets of 45 push ups every M, W, F) then I do weighted exercises (usually bench press, squats, basically the standards).
I am a lot smaller than a lot of these frat boys here, who for some reason chug protein/creatine shakes, but I usually end up lifting a lot more than them, run a lot further.
They continue to give me dirty looks. Clearly they don’t like being shown up by somebody likely 60 lbs less.
Word got around about what I did before college. I am in the gym every day either lifting, running or doing body weight workouts, so the regulars do recognize me.
What should I do? It seriously feels like one of them is going to get jealous that I am benching 10x what they can do once, or benching 75+ lbs more than they can, and launch a dumbell at me from across the room one day. A bunch of them have already tried to walk right into me and do the shoulder check.
I am starting to get aggravated with it. Funny thing is, it’s always the guys wearing the pi kappa alpha shirts, or one of the other frat t-shirts.
Any suggestions?
I don’t want to be a rescue swimmer for the Navy and am apprehensive about Coast Guard OCS because I don’t wanna be stationed in Alaska or some Arctic region of the world. If I’m going to join the military… I want to join with the best… USMC! Since I’m a female, Recon is out of the question but can I do something else aquatically related in The Marine Corps? Does USMC have rescue swimmers?
Here are things i would like to do.
1.Combat on The Ground Mostly, including the Arctic(snow), Jungle, Desert, Mountains, You Name it.
2.Something recon like, sneaking around at night, with snipers, night vision.
3. Something to do with riding, piloting, or shooting from helicopters, during day but preferably at night, i absolutely love helicopters!
4. something to do with weapons, hand to hand contact.
5. the ability to be on land, air and sea.
6. Going behind enemy lines, stealing intel, and dealing huge amounts of damage.
What are the Special Ops. Forces that Would Be Right For Me? (i.e rangers, night stalkers, seals, etc.) Thank You!
After downloading the DLC, I am unable to access the content as I have no access to the Animus (the last save file is right before Desmond is supposed to pick up the apple). Is there no way to access the content without starting entirely over from scratch? Pushing the map button brings up the same menu as pausing the game.
Gaming question:
If you have dlc on an xbox, and you activate your account on a different xbox, can you re-download that dlc onto the new xbox?
i own a PS3 and the original copy of the game, not the special edition. I want the weapon pack with the 8 weapons or whatever and supposedly it is on the playstation store but i can’t find it. the only dlc on there is the costumes and i have already bought it. can somebody help me? I want to use different weapons. Is the weapon dlc not available to buy on the playstation store?
