It is no secret that Nintendo hasn’t ever really aimed their guns to the hardcore crowd. Traditionally, all the hardcore games have been first-party titles while most 3rd party titles were core-player games. Square Enix, the same mastermind behind the Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts series, is focusing on the action RPG player. This new title, Heroes of Ruin looks impressive and could be one of the many stepping stones into the hardcore market for the 3DS.
First off, the action RPG style gameplay looks similar to other hit games like the Diablo series for PC and the unreleased Infinity Blade Dungeons on iOS. This means that the game is capturing a different style of hardcore gamer. If you’re waiting for the first FPS title on the 3DS, your best option is to wait for the Conduit to rear it’s head on the 3DS. Like Diablo, the characters are highly customizable in the sense that you can choose different armor and weapon combinations to make your hero as personal as you wish.
Easily one of the coolest features of the game is the range of online accessibility that’s been added to the game. You’ll be able to trade weapons and other items with other players around the world, and after you’re done trading, you can jump into 4-player co-op to wreak havoc.
Heroes of Ruin definitely has caught my eye, and I’ll sure be looking for it when it hits store shelves on July 17 in North America and two days earlier in Europe.

THIS IS SO AWESOME!!
I applied to square enix to be a beta tester for the new Final Fantasy XIV and i was just wondering if anyone who has already applied is able to tell me about how long it takes square enix to email you back with an answer. Thanks!
I’m really into the Final Fantasy video game series and games like that. I’ve recently noticed that up untill about 2003, the games were being produced by a company called Square Soft. But I’ve noticed that the games that have been produced thereafter are by a company called Square Enix. Was Square Enix once Square Soft or are they completely unrelated?
Okay so I am a big Final Fantasy fan and I was wondering do Square Enix have a store you can go in? If so where is it located? Because I really wanna go there. Also what is in the store? Like is it toys or games?
They are ruining games that don’t belong to them:Dungeion siege 3,Thief4 they turn entire franchies upside down and “japanize” it with every ascpect of an american game being japaneas WTF!And all of their rpgs arent real rpgs just streamlind adventure games (Final Fantasy) please square enix:quit makeing video games!Does anyone agree?
I made an AMV from Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children, I worked on it all day and now it’s blocked in all countries, the only person who can view it is me when I’m logged in. I really want to upload it as it took away a day of my life and because to me, it’s pretty neat.
So, how, if possible, do I get permission from Square Enix to use Final Fantasy: Advent Children?
Thanks.
I believe I read several blogs stating that in Europe, Square Enix is releasing a masterpieces collection for classic games in the Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts series. I’m not sure if it’s a rumor or true.
Ya, the gaming company. I saw there name in the credits and i was just wondering what they do for the series.
Is it legal to create content for a commercial game using Autodesk 3DS Max on a public computer, or do I have to buy the software or some sort of license?
$3500 seems like a little too much, and I have acess to 3DS Max on a public computer.
I want to get a 3DS game that uses internet, besides SSF4.
Couldn’t they just sell them all at the same time like all 3DS’s no matter what color have the same software, so why?
Once I beat the game, I stopped playing the 3DS. I pretty much bought it just for the game. How much do you guys think GameStop would give me for the 3DS and the Zelda game together? The 3DS still has the box, the charger, the dock, the full intruction packet along with that Nintendo game card thingy, and the Zelda game still with its case along with the packets inside. What do you guys think?
I was just wondering because the dsi has a nintendo points card for it and the 3ds has a cash card. So how does the cash card work for the 3ds? What’s the difference?
I’m a beginner of 3Ds max. I want to do a animation that a object change as another object smoothly. Like, earth change as moon, or dog change as cat. How can I search in web/ How can I do it?
I heard the friends list system on the 3DS is replacing pictochat and me and my cousin use pictochat all the time on our DSi’s but i pre ordered the 3DS and he didn’t.What can I do?
I’m looking forward to buying the nintendo 3ds when it comes out especially because of the promotional sale (discount for trading in old ds) i was wondering is this sale only for the first day it comes out or for a few days… I do not want to have to go the very day it comes out… So, it’d be great if you let me know.
I modeled a house in 3ds max. What I want to know is how I could make a “game” using the model. I want to be able to walk around in the house. I haven’t taken any game design classes yet and I really want to start now. I want to make a sort of first person shooter thing. Nothing fancy, not much interaction, I just want to walk around in the house like a first person shooter. What programs do I use? Any tutorials?
I don’t see the difference from the dsi and the 3ds I want to know.
