I love Halo because it brings me back to an older day in multiplayer shooters where everyone has access to all the same weapons, yet still has a modern feel to it. Load outs in Halo 4 have me worried.
Don’t get me wrong, as I’m incredibly excited for Halo 4. Microsoft wisely started out their press conference with a bang, showing off the gorgeous new world we’ll explore with Master Chief, as well as formidable enemies in the Forerunners. Add in the fact that instead of the traditional shooter experience, we’ll be discovering mysteries, exploring landscapes, and dealing with, presumably, stronger plot details, and you can’t help but be excited for the campaign. I even found myself, someone who doesn’t enjoy a Halo campaign from any game in the franchise other than Reach, intrigued.
So why am I worried then? The game’s multiplayer has a little too much Call of Duty for my liking. While, yes, we did catch a glimpse of some Call of Duty like features in Halo: Reach, the spirit of Halo was in tact. The load outs back then were limited to various abilities, such as a jet pack, sprinting, or armor. It didn’t give anyone a particular advantage, per say, and instead added to the traditional “rock paper scissors” format the series has been known for when it comes to its weaponry. But with Halo 4, you can customize your load outs with various guns. Not only that, you can gain XP to unlock various perks that do more than just customize your appearance.
This is where I worry. Again, I love Halo‘s multiplayer because everyone starts off on an equal setting, skill aside. But if I’m not sure who has what unlocked and who’ll have the extra ammo to finish me off as I reload, it worries me. I play Halo because I want to get away from the Call of Duty style of multiplayer, but now it seems like I can’t get away from it.
That’s not to say that the multiplayer is all doom and gloom, however. There are some pretty nifty load out additions that have expanded on the armor from Halo 3, such as a shield that helps you soak up extra damage, as well as a thermal visor that allows you to see your enemies through terrain. You have to at least give 343 Industries some credit for taking the perks from having a higher level ranked character and not making them simply better guns, but various tactics that give you a slight edge in battle. But still, it is a slight edge, something I’m not that much of a fan of. And after both seeing and hearing countless tales of how someone threw “blind grenades” because of their visor perk, it’s a bit disheartening.
Hopefully this plays better than the last one.
Not Creative Multiplayer, I already know you can join freely in those servers, but what about Survival Multiplayer Servers? Do the other players need to have a premium account too to join? Thanks.

I am trying to play muliplayer on the original Diablo. My friend and I are linked our laptops together with an Ethernet cord. We are linked. We can play a different game together. However Diablo is not recognizing that we are linked. Can anyone tell me what to do? Do we need to be online to play multiplayer together?

I’m looking for a version of the game, either online or to buy that will allow you to play multiplayer (More than 2) on the same computer. I’ve had a look at two versions – One had no option for multiplayer being played on the same computer and with the other one you could only select a 1v1 match. Any ideas?

I came back to play live on red dead (xbox) and it said something about a save file not being found. Do i have to restart or is there a way i can get my multiplayer account back. Everything else is fine but red dead

I was just thinking, but with all the fan anger at Bioware for destroying their “perfect ending” don’t you think this sends a message to 343 telling them not to screw up Halo 4? It will be all out fan anger against them if they do. What do you guys think?
I am a huge fan of Halo, and I understand that the game-play visuals have been updated so it looks a whole lot better, and that you can switch from the original visuals and the new updated visuals through out the campaign when ever you please, but will the cut-scenes be visually updated as well or will it be the same as when the original Halo Combat Evolved was released. This may be a stupid question but i was just wondering if 343 Industries has given that information out or not.
I’ve heard that 343 Industries is remaking Halo: Combat Evolved, and that it is being released on November 15th for the 10th anniversary of Halo: Combat Evolved’s release. Is that true?
ok, so i heard about halo 4. and i was just wondering. who here thinks that 343 Industries is going to make this a good game, or just a dud? like, who has confidence that 343 Industries will turn halo into a wonderful and amazing game for years to come, or will they completely ruin it into something we wished we would never see? also, has anyone seen any of 343 Industries other works, like have they made other games and stuff. now of coarse i know that some of the original Bungie members decided to stay and work on halo with 343 Industries, and i know 343 Industries has worked on halo games alongside Bungie for quite sometime (dnt know how long), just give me your opinion on how you think Halo 4 will turn out and your perspective on 343 Industries. now in my opinion, i have faith in Halo 4. i think that 343 Industries will change up the halo franchise for the better and hopefully give it that feeling we all used to get when we played halo for the very first time. ok anyways again, thanks in advance

They are offering to hire people for jobs such as engine designers, game designers, and even multiplayer network designers. This must mean they are working on a game obvisouly so what kind of halo game is it. I know it has not been announced but it be cool to hear what people think they are making and what you want them to make.

as most halo fans know, halo is now being created by 343 industries. I know they were recentley established by microsoft but i want to know is if what i heard about them is true. I heard somewhere on the web dont exactly remember that 343 is actually a group of people from bungie that didn’t want to stop the halo series. What i want to know if this is true and if it will affect the classic gameplay that i love from halo
I read on wikipedia they were working on a new halo title.
I haven’t done the reset but I was in a lobby where a guy had done it all day and I was in the same lobby with him and 343 reset the whole lobby’s rank and credits. Can anyone tell me if they are still banning people or resetting them because that lobby took place in May 15, 2011.
Ok, so I made a really sweet idea for an Armor Ability designed in Halo 4 or future Halo titles and I need to find out how I can express this in writing to the team at 343i.
