Developers Sledgehammer have recently made statements about working on a possible new Call of Duty game for Activision. So does this mean that they are making a new title or a whole new game similar to the best selling game? Sledgehammer was a part of the creation of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 along with Infinity Ward. The developers once mentioned they were pursuing a ‘third person shooter’ style game for the franchise.
Advertisement on job boards for the company have mentioned they are actively recruiting for talent in the industry to join their Call of Duty development team. Part of the advertisement states, “…to create the most exceptional real-time effects with hyper realism for our next Call of Duty game”. If you are a game designer and a huge fan of the franchise you might want to head over to their site. I guess we will wait and see if it is going to be entirely new title in the series, or an addition to recent Call of Duty games.

Hopefully this plays better than the last one.
So for almost 2 years now people want to know whats it going to be?
Modern Warfare 3 or what?
Well to be honest if IW makes another Cod game
i dont want a mw sequel to be honest i sort of want Call of Duty Civil War if you think bout it it can be a pretty good game
Go behind enemy lines in the Civil War it would be pretty cool to me
Well lets get back on topic
IW has no CEO and we all know that Trey Arch and Sledgehammer Games
cant use the modern warfare name because thats IW
Reason why they filed a law suit
well what happend to IW??
Well thats the question will there be another COD game from them???
So Activision said yes the Next game IW makes will be a COD game.
11-11-11 ????? MW3?? Call of Duty Civil War?
well wait and find out haha.
Trey Arch is shadowed again because after every Trey Arch game I always tops them like Cod4 over cod 3
mw2 over WAW
Sledgehammer games said theyll be a new team to be making a Cod game but when? 2012?
or 2011?
Infinity Ward needs to show why they are the best at delivering jaw dropping moments
I mean After Cod 4 things were not the same anymore its like they took the Cod series to a whole new level
with kill streaks, new attachments, and the whole aspect of the game
Mw2 is still great i mean over 200,000 people still play it each day pretty much
but still has its flaws,and
Trey Arch with over 1 million people online on Black ops
Trey Arch can finally say (Hey we finally did it we topped IW)
Idk Trey Arch or infinity ward?
11-11-11 will be my guess is Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 aghhh
IW is silent right now on there website cuzz they havnt posted anything for months now
but remember there silent but deadly
I’m just wondering, do you think that with infinity ward fired (and they did help to get CoD as big as it is, big time) and now some of the new ideas are not like the known and loved CoD’s at all, like Sledgehammer making CoD 8 an action adventure game, do you think that after Black Ops, CoD could start to go downhill? I just see them starting to change the physics of the game, you know, the guts of it, because since CoD 4, it has been the same game, just different versions, but when you play it feels exactly the same. So, what worries me, is that the new CoD’s to come out, are going to be changed, and strike a downfall in CoD. Does anyone feel like this could happen?

THIS IS THE INFORMATION SO FAR FROM ONE OF THE LEADING MAP DESIGNERS IN THE CALL OF DUTY SERIES. (Report)
After IGN released information on the 7th installment of the Call of Duty series, funded and run by global organisation Activision,
it is beleived that Infinity Ward may be in a background deal with Activision and a recently created gaming company known as
“Sledgehammer Games”, mainly known for their creation and never-endingly updated Dead Space, released early 2009.
After Infinity Ward’s release of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, the first thing they started working on was the 6th installment
which wouldn’t be coming out until 2 years later, late 2009. This means that the company had 2 years to perfect the new game,
marketed as the soon diminishing name of Modern Warfare 2. After referring back to the Call of Duty franchise, as originally
wasn’t intended by Robert “402″ Crowley – the CEO and public relations manager for Infinity Ward – the ratings for the game
had risen dramatically, giving extreme popularity and advertising for the Infinity Ward group, originating from the creators
of Medal of Honour – EA, Dreamworks and Rebellion Development.
The idea after replacing the name of Call of Duty in the sale name of Modern Warfare 2, the reputation of the game and
Infinity Ward had risen incredibly – but there was still alot of damage done by the highly anticipated World at War, which ended
up in a ratings crash.
There is reason to beleive that Infinity Ward and Activision are linking up, and sabotaging Treyarch. This is because of the
fact that for Modern Warfare 2 to set such a high standard took 2 years of production, and Treyarch have been given 1 year to
create a game that will match or make better – and considering that their last game, World at War – was a complete ratings crash
other than the fact they had 2 highlighting features – meaning that they have a low chance of blitzing the ratings to compare
to Infinity Ward. This has possible meaning to state that Infinity Ward have purposely put pressure upon Treyarch who have such
a miniscule chance to make the 7th Call of Duty installment comparable to Modern Warfare 2, which is a serious issue for
Activision to take into consideration.
All that is left to answer is why Infinity Ward would even risk the name of Call of Duty – one of the highest selling games
and most popular games of all time across all platforms?
And also, why would Activision already set up for Sledgehammer Gaming to create the 8th installment, when the best they
have done is an all-but 2 dimentional game with burning ratings, Dead Space?
More will be revealed soon by Infinity Ward raters and specialists.

Hello,
I was sending a email to Activision and Sledgehammer for the new Call of Duty. It was about the mappacks, why they are so expensive and to Sledgehammer if they gonna be as expensive as the previous Call of Duty’s. Unfortunately Sledgehammer can’t answer all the emails. I please ask you to send an email like this or exactly this on to sledgehammer, so maybe, if they get such a email from enough people they will make the mappacks free or cheap. If enough people send it to them maybe it will work en we certainly get an answer. Here is the email to Sledgehammer:
”Hello,
I was wondering how much the mappack for Modern Warfare 3 will cost? I hope it will not be as expensive as the previous Call of Duty games. And believe me, if you will announce that the mappacks for this game is gonna be free/cheap, more people will buy it. A expansionpack from Battlefield was even free! A friend of me is saying he won’t buy the new Call of Duty cause they only wan’t to make money. It is too expensive! Also I doubt whether I will purchase it or not. Cheaper or free mappacks will be a big advantage. We are allready paying 60 euro for the game why so expensive mappacks?
Sincerely,”
Please send this to them and send this to other people so more people will send it.
Thank you

hey i’ve recently heard on ign that there gonna be making a new cod? They said that it was gonna be called, Call of Duty: Sledgehammer , but they still awaiting on the game and rating. Any info???
for the guitars, apparentely after Activision picked up Rock Band they refused to have the compatibility for use with the guitars (you can use guitar hero guitars in rock band and visa versa) are they going to work that out or have they? and when will Rock Band guitars be available for individual sale?
Im trying to figure out what activision uses to make their video games because i want to make one and i am really commited to it so please help!!!
because i hear that games like cod6 and guitarhero 5 that are huge are going to make a huge profit probably. There previous games are famous so im guessing that it might be a good choice b4 those 3months arrive. I’m 15 by the way. so is it a good idea to invest my money in activision or not, please tell me why or why not.
The fifth Vibrant Gujarat summit this January saw 7,936 memoranda of understanding (MoUs) announced, committing to invest $462 billion. The cream of Indian business was in Gandhinagar for the summit, as were business delegations from as far apart as Japan, the United States and Brazil.
Forty-five countries and 19 other (non-Gujarat) Indian states made presentations and solicited business opportunities at an event that has established itself as India’s premier investor conference.
Missing at Vibrant Gujarat was the Indian public sector, those companies owned by the Union government. ICICI Bank signed a deal with Gujarat promising credit to developers and users of infrastructure projects. At least six Indian public sector banks had negotiated similar arrangements but were prevented from finalising these following instructions from the finance ministry in New Delhi.
Last week, the income-tax (I-T) department, acting on a vague complaint by Congress politicians in Gujarat, asked the Narendra Modi government to furnish details of all investors and companies that had agreed to put in at least Rs1,000 crore. These would be investigated for possible tax evasion. It was clear the UPA government was out to sabotage Vibrant Gujarat and send a menacing signal to business groups that had flocked there.
There are three issues worth noting here. First, the I-T department’s notice to Gujarat is not just blatantly political but also illogical. If X buys a house from Y and pays Y with money that has been earned illegally, the tax authorities need to serve a notice on X, not on Y.
That apart, investment coming into Gujarat, whether from Mauritius or Mumbai or Manhattan, is being routed through banking channels and not arriving in suitcases. If the finance ministry and its agencies want to scrutinise these channels, they can do so even without telling the Gujarat administration.
So what explains this sledgehammer message to the Modi government?
Second, it is possible — though of course improbable — that the Congress-led government in New Delhi has decided upon a crusade against black money, and that it believes corporate India (as well as foreign entities investing in Gujarat/India) are awash in ill-gotten wealth, in profits from the narcotics trade and organised crime and so on. It may even believe Vibrant Gujarat has become a rendezvous of such evil money.
If so, why did Congress-run states such as Andhra Pradesh participate in Vibrant Gujarat, and attempt to persuade the same companies that were investing in Modi territory to pour funds in their direction as well? Should the I-T department send a notice to the Andhra Pradesh government as well, asking it why it is soliciting investment from suspected tax evaders and sources of criminal capital? Alternatively, does the colour of money change (from black to white or maybe ‘communal’ to ‘secular’) when it leaves Gujarat and enters, for example, Maharashtra?
Third, the Gujarat episode only affirms the need to redefine the contours of economic federalism. In Gujarat, the Congress tells public sector companies to stay away and blackmails the private sector. In Orissa, the BJD government’s efforts to revolutionise the economy, by getting Posco to set up a giant steel facility and Vedanta to build an aluminium plant, are tripped by a prejudiced environment ministry and its handpicked committees.
In Uttar Pradesh, the BSP government’s proposal to host a new airport in the western part of the state – bordering the national capital, in the region between Greater Noida and Aligarh – is cussedly denied the green signal. The Congress wants to wait till the 2012 state election so that Rahul Gandhi can make the new airport a poll promise and deprive Mayawati of credit.
India has moved enormously since 1991 and states have far greater economic and financial autonomy today. Even so, the residual powers that remain with the Union government can be leveraged to lethal effect by a bloody-minded ruling party. This is exactly what is happening in state after state ruled by non-UPA parties, particularly those showing business potential.
In the 1980s, an underlying principle of non-Congress unity was political federalism and the need to guard against misuse of Article 356, which allowed the Union government to dismiss state governments at whim.
Today, economic federalism is under siege. The NDA needs to make greater freedom for the states in economic policy, decision-making and regulation one of its core goals. After the UPA experience, New Delhi can’t be trusted. Ask Gandhinagar, Bhubaneswar, Lucknow

Any more evidence needed that we need to chuck the INC out?!?!
It seems like Blizzard was a much better company without Activision. The only thing Blizzard got was a reputation of being greedy. They are probably going to release 5 expansion packs/DLCs for Diablo 3 and force people to buy it.
I need to know there software quickly.
What Software did they use to make Crash of the titans and Crash mind over the mutant?
- they made a big mess of Guitar Hero, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, and several other titles.
- now they are making a goldeneye remake and I seen them talking about the game on youtube, and it looks like they completely messed it up already.
And what portion comes from its other constituent parts?
I really would like to be a Game Designer when I grow up.I absolutely love video games, I first picked up the xbox controller for the first time at Christmas, 2001. I haven’t put it down since.
I always played video games, so I know flaws about them which could be fixed and be made better, I have a lot experience with games basically.
Since I love video games, why not make them? Can anyone please tell me what I need in order to be a designer(Degrees, experience with software, my own projects, etc..) and if I can have a lasting job there(I don’t want to get fired in like 2 weeks and get screwed over, I want to work for a very long time.) I want to know how much pay might be.
Here is some information to help you make a good answer.
I would like to work for Infinity Ward, Treyarch, SledgeHammer games, Or 343 Industries. (Only one of these places, in order from Favorite Developers to least.)
Infinity Ward is my first choice to work at.
Thank you!

Just wondered if anyone knows the reason that steam are releasing the came “Call of duty modern warfare 2″ 2 days later than everybody else?
Such as call of duty. It’s originally made by Activision but later developed by Treyarch/Infinity Ward/Sledgehammer games. Or fallout, by Interplay and Bethesda later came to own it. Does it mean that the publishers came up with an idea then allow someone else to develop it? I don’t understand how it works.
one publisher: Activision to count the money they scammed from their “new” product
Now that I think about it MW2 added more than MW3. LOL.
Infinity ward and Sledgehammer to do the dirty work of reskinning and adding little new features to the game on the same engine. Shame I wasted money on this game =
And if you guys are going to tell me I’m a fanboy of BF3. I bought the CoD games from CoD 4 to MW3
