Asus is known worldwide for making high performance graphics cards (GPU)’s, so when I stumbled across this news piece over at Ubergizmo, I was pleasantly shocked and surprised. Asus has decided to launch a behemoth of a custom built PC at this year’s Computex code named ROG Tytan CG8890.
The letters at the front of the case R, O, and G. Would place this custom built PC firmly at the tip top of Asus’s product line code named Republic of Gamers. Which means this will be an expensive product guaranteed to break the bank of most PC builders. This is a product solely meant for enthusiast who have money to throw away.
ROG Tytan CG8890 Specifications:
| CPU | Intel ® i7-3960X O.C mode: 3.8/4.02GHz |
| Chipset | Intel® X79 |
| Graphics | Nvidia GTX 690 |
| Memory | 16GB DDR3 at 2133MHz |
| Storage | 2TB SATA 3GB/s hard drive (7200RPM)+ 120Gb SSD x 2 |
| Sound Card | Asus Xonar DX |
| Optical Drive | BD Writer |
In order to make the ROG Tytan transform one has to simply press the overclock button called “Turbo Gear” and the case will open up. First the two side panels will open up showing six fans that focus on taking in fresh air into the case, then on the top back portion of the case another panel will open revealing two exhaust fans to help draw heat out of the case.
Check out the videos below to see the case in action. I also included a montage film from Asus’s you tube channel showcasing all the products they showed at Computex 2012.

I recently purchased an Asus M5A88-V EVO motherboard, and am having problems with the onboard graphics driver crashing. I am most likely going to return it to Asus, but I would not prefer a motherboard of the same type. (As to help ensure the problem does not happen again) I read the warranty, but it makes it very unclear to me. So, would Asus allow the motherboard to be replaced with a different model?

Hi! I’m looking for a driver for 1.3 megapixel built-in webcam on ASUS F9D Notebook… I’m freshly running Windows 7.
Our laptop dies all the time for no reason so we have sent it off to be repaired, how long until it usually gets returned? Also how likely is it to get a new laptop sent? the reason I ask is we were working in another country and contacted Asus in that particular country and the person told us there was a problem with that that type of laptop and they have had to send out replacements…however that wasn’t in the UK so I highly doubt it!
I accidentally disabled my touchpad on my asus netbook and I’m not sure how to change put it back on so if someone can help me that would be great.

I’m thinking about buying the Asus Transformer TF300 (without the laptop docking station) and I realized that there is no microUSB port on the actual tablet itself.
There is a microHDMI port but I don’t know if I’d be able to transfer files with that.
So how would I be able to transfer files between the Transformer TF300 tablet and my regular laptop pc?
