Nyko Technologies announced a new line of controllers to enable console-quality gaming experiences on Android tablet devices. The Nyko tablet controllers are being developed with input from NVIDIA to ensure compatibility with a large library of high-end mobile games .
Nyko has also developed a free Android app, called Playground, to provide backwards compatibility for their controllers with legacy tablet titles, including those that currently utilize keyboard mapping, touch mapping and mouse support. Playground provides profile management for customized control schemes, as well as pre-set profiles for top selling and popular games. Like Nyko’s tablet controllers, the app will not require rooting of the device.
The Nyko tablet controller series/line features:
- PlayPad Pro – Nyko’s full-sized controller for an at-home gaming experience, including dual analog sticks, d-pad, face buttons and shoulder triggers/bumpers for wireless tablet gaming in the living room.
- PlayPad – Nyko’s mini controller includes dual analog sliders, collapsible tablet stand and a carrying case for gaming on the go
- Console-style control for ease of gameplay, perfect for first-person shooters and other complex games.
- No rooting required; controllers are usable out of the box
- Compatible with all Android 3.0 and higher tablets/phones with Bluetooth®connectivity
Available Fall 2012, the tablet controllers will offer a future-proof gaming experience, blurring the line between mobile and console video gaming.

Great developers behind this
Nyko Technologies 86022 High-Efficiency Snap-On Cooling Device for Xbox 360. Does it attach to a regular Pro bundle or just the elite?
So my xbox 360 just recently did the 3 rings of death thing so I was getting it ready to send to get fixed when I was pulling off my Nyko Intercooler system when I noticed it had melted into the plug of my 360. I saw that there have similar situations with this and when I call Nyko all I get is voicemail. Anybody know if its still in business or if they’re just hard to get a hold of? I also noticed that they’re website is gone so I’m a little worried that I may just be screwed.

I’m just trying to find out if they push in for when you put the ps vita in your pocket or will we have to risk the analog sticks broken?
The analog sticks of my PS3 controller got chewed up by my dog. So how can I switch them with my PS2 controller? Do I have to open up both of them? I dont want to risk destroying both controllers.

Does anyone have a problem with the analog sticks? My left analog stick is being cut up by the side walls. There is ring around the stick that looks like the trench from the Death Star surface.
i need a new controlller because i really hate the analog sticks on the original dualshock 3 controller. i feel like i have to jam my thumbs into it in order for me to run in COD. im also looking for a good one that wont break in a long time
I’m looking for a controller that will work great for both pc games and NES/SNES emulators.
These are the three gamepads I’m considering. Which one should I pick?
