Spinning a web any size will surely come in handy this summer for your friendly neighborhood Spiderman.
The web-slinging superhero won’t only be catching audiences like flies with the debut of Sony Pictures’ The Amazing Spiderman, but Gameloft is collaborating with Marvel on a mobile game to be released in conjunction with the film.
Coming to iPhones, iPads, and Android devices, leading global publisher Gameloft is proceeding its success of Spider-Man: Total Mayhem with the development of an official 3D action game slated to coincide with its box office counterpart on June 3.
Expect the characters and storyline you know and love to create a worthy accompaniment to the highly anticipated cinematic release. Players will be able to gallivant through cities, guard citizens, and complete missions enriched with alluring graphics and combat styles. Gameloft’s Senior Vice President of Marketing, Gonzague de Vallois, proudly attests to the lineage between their mobile game and the movie.
“In addition to being an opportunity for Gameloft to showcase our skills in adapting movies into games, when combined with the fact that this is one of the most popular and commercially successful superheroes of all time, after having boasted one of the highest grossing movie franchises in history, we expect this title to be a great success.”
Andreea Enache-Thune, Senior Vice President of Games and Digital Distribution for Marvel, seconds the notion. “We are happy to continue our successful relationship with Gameloft to bring quality games to both Marvel and mobile game fans alike. The Amazing Spider-Man provides a thrilling and immersive mobile gameplay experience that will continue to raise the bar for both Marvel and Gameloft.”

OMG
Aren’t there copyright laws to prevent what gameloft is doing?
I dont understand why a lower rev of android software(gingerbread) is supported by Gameloft and Honeycomb isnt. Theres some good games out there that would be great to play on my.tablet(Order and Chaos specifically). Does anyone have any idea if there is ever going to be some kind of update maybe.
I have a 55WX800u Toshiba 3d tv, and I also have the toshiba 3d glasses, plus the Xbox.
I’ve been making 3d games and wanted to make money off them some of them I’ve been working on for months but I wanted to know if companies would buy such games like gameloft.
A friend told me about Cinema 3D since he bought it recently. What is the best feature of this product? I don’t want to look like a fool when I visit him next week because I don’t know anything about Cinema 3D.
The usual explanation for our 3d vision is that, having 2 eyes, the crossed result of their slightly different vision creates the 3d effect. However, if I close one eye, I don’t experience any sudden flattening of my vision; nor I think that one-eyed people have problems perceiving depth, do they? So, what’s the REAL mechanism behind 3d vision?
Ive never gone to see a 3D film because of this, i know you can sort of wear the 3D specs on your glasses,, but i don think its the same. Is there some sort of 3D glasses site, you could buy with your prescription?
I’ve read that the brain can calculate 3D by taking two images from two eyes and comparing them. However, 3D works perfectly fine with one eye. Surely this “Binocular vision” is pointless if the brain can calculate 3D perfectly fine with one eye.
Does the brain just guess or is there some other trick involved? I notice eyes individually focus. So the brain could calculate the amount of blur and work out the distance that way?
Using blender to create a 3d object and after effects for motion tracking, how could I combine the two? Is there any way to export 3d objects to After Effects from Blender? Do I need to bring the movie into blender, and if so is there any way of motion tracking? Say, for example, I have a scene of a table and the camera tracks around it. I create a 3d mug in blender. What next if I want to put the mug on the table in the scene?
