Rockstar has announced that the second comic (of three) in the comic tie-in for Max Payne 3, Hoboken Blues, will be available next week on June 12th. It will be available on the official Max Payne site for free. This comic will lead up to the beginning of chapter 3 in Max Payne 3, where he meets DeMarco in the Hoboken bar. It will also cover various other points in Max’s life, especially his cop days. Just like After the Fall, this issue will be penned by Dan Houser and Remedy’s Sam Lake, art by Jorge Molina and by Fernando Blanco.
I thought After the Fall was a pretty good issue. Well written and pretty well drawn. You can read the full review here, but Hoboken Blues looks to be another solid comic. Also, they’re both free. You can’t really complain about something at that price. Be sure to check it out next week. And go play Max Payne 3, it’s really good!

I recently got most of the Chix Mixx Sailor Moon Comic books (manga) in the english format. I went to read it today and couldn’t tell if I was supposed to read it front to back or visa verse. I know that the japanese read right to left apposed to left ot right. Does anyone know how these comics are meant to be read?
After watching The Walking Dead on AMC, I decided to start collecting and reading all the comics. I bought the first volume (Days Gone Bye) and noticed on the shelf that there were hardcover books as well. When I checked online, I saw the regular comics and countless different hardcover books of the series. It’s got me really confused on what to buy? Will I be missing out on anything if I just get the single volume paperback comics? Do the hardcover editions have any bonuses or extra things that the regular comics don’t?

I’ve found the comics message boards that I’ve posted on so far (the official DC Boards for example) to be filled with people complaining that comics aren’t like they were whenever they started reading them. They’re also filled with a ludicrous amount of bile directed at certain comics creators and staff. Is this the case on all boards or is there a nice one out there? I don’t get a lot of chance to discuss comics in the non-internet world.

ok, so i was watching the trailer for the new max payne movie with Mark Wahlberg and all i can say is, “What the Hell?!” If you’ve seen the trailer and played the original video game you might understand. But can someone please explain to me why there are these winged creatures flying around? This is an action game not a fantasy. Why are these guys in the movie?
