Defiance, a new third-person shooter MMO has been announced.
Defiance is set in a future world where aliens called Votans have taken over and must be hunted. The Votans came to Earth in gigantic ships called Arks, though the Arks were blown to oblivion by unexplained explosions and therefore a belt of debris orbits Earth. Every now and then, a chunk of debris crashes into Earth creating “Arkfall Events”, where Ark hunters, thugs and Hellbugs gather to battle to the death for rare resources and alien technology that can be gathered from the debris.
Defiance will also be made into a Syfy serial drama staring Julie Benz, Grant Bowler, Graham Greene and more.
Defiance will be airing and ready to play on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC April, 2013.

If you were located halfway between Earth and the moon, what acceleration would you have toward earth? Earth-Moon separation is 60 Earth radii.
We know that global warming is destroying earth. The earth becomes more unfriendly by the day, and only few people try to reduce global warming, most of us don’t even care about global warming. So eventually the earth will become an unfriendly planet. How long will the earth becomes an unlivable place for humans if there aren’t any environmental actions done? What’s the best action to counter it?
I forgot this, but please also state the reasons of your answers.
I’m a fairly new Christian, but I’ve never considered this before:
The Bible does not specifically claim that the earth is flat but it is strongly hinted in several places. It is also rarely hinted at that the earth is round, or a sphere, etc.
So if the Bible is God’s word, how could a Christian justify the Bible’s claims of our earth being flat, when God created earth?
Surely God should know that the earth is round, and so this should be said in the Bible?
Some of the questions that I am curious of.
1. If everything in the Universe were to disappear, what would happen if a large mass such as Earth or the Sun were to pop back into existence? Would anything strange happen to gravity?
2. Would I weigh the same on Earth if Earth no matter what location it came to rest at in the Universe?
3. If Earth could travel at different speeds, could this change how much I would weigh standing on Earth?
We have been told the earth is warming and the polar ice caps may melt. Well, how warm does the earth have to get to melt the polar ice caps. We know at the South Pole, the highest temperature ever recorded was 9.9°F, and we know that ice melts at 33°F, so does that mean the earth has to warm by 23°F?
Is there any psychological explanation as to why we feel even more so inclined to push the button when the sign clearly reads “Do not push the red button”?

Again, writing a novel about an Irish immigrant family, and I’m focusing on a character influencing my protagonist’s past involving a former, lost love and I just need to know the answer to my question because it is an important part to the story.
These guys stormed our embassy, held our people hostage, stomped on our flag, threatened to annihilate the Israeli’s, called the Holocaust and 9/11 a lie and defied us with the building of nuclear weapons. How much more crap is the US/NATO going to take from these morons before they actually do something?
Last year all polls showed that republicans are set to lose senate and congress but the republican supporters showed super confidence that they will win. And when results came out, the only people to be shocked were the republicans themselves. This year too, all polls show that repubs are set to lose white house next year and that all leading repub presidential candidates trail by large margin against hillary, obama, etc etc. Foxnews polls shows that too, but once again the republican supporters are in defiance of polls and are showing big confidence that they will win. How come? i would be nervous if i were a republican supporter seeing how extremely unpopular the president and the war is becoming.
There has been a recent influx of male prisoners charged with Domestic Defiance. The prisons are getting full and we’re trying different programs. What are your suggestions?
