Sony kicked off their E3 2012 press conference with a sneak peek at the newest addition to the Quantic Dream family, Beyond: Two Souls. Many people thought that the trailer shown a few weeks ago called Kara was going to be the newest title being developed by Quantic Dream. In reality, it was only a test to see if emotion could be conveyed and shown in real time on the PlayStation 3. Beyond takes us into the world of Jodie Holmes, voiced and motion captured by Academy Award nominee Ellen Page.
The world of Beyond revolves around one simple yet complex idea, death. Jodie has always been connected to the other side since she could remember, and she’s being chased by the law for some undisclosed reason(s) at the moment.
Beyond: Two Souls is a PlayStation 3 exclusive that looks to offer the one of a kind of story and gameplay experience that Quantic Dream and writer/director David Cage are famously known to offer with their titles since Indigo Prophecy and Heavy Rain.
David Cage said that they’ll be releasing more news for Beyond within the next month, so keep an eye out on The Game Fanatics for more news. For now, take a look at the trailer shown at Sony‘s press conference this year a few moments ago.

In the new Quantic Dream Project trailer, the android Kara sings a song in Japanese. Does anyone know what that song is? Or was it just made up for the trailer?

Is it because there is too much content for an Xbox 360 disk? Are the physics or graphics too much for the Xbox 360 to handle? or do the people at Quantic Dream just don’t feel like it?
I assume this a glitch, but I’m still curious. I’ve been playing through the game a second time and I finished the scene where the Origami Killer requires that Ethan cut off part of his finger. I decided to leave instead, but after I allowed Ethan to be arrested. He’s in the precinct but the tip of his finger is missing and its wrapped in bandages. I can’t imagine that being purposeful, because I didn’t cut the finger off.
By “allowed” I meant the control scheme sucked so bad I couldn’t properly cross the street somehow and ended up twitching near some car. Seconds later, Ethan, with a bullet in the back was arrested and Madison was hiding behind a bus. Oh, the humanity.
What did Quantic Dream do to advertise Heavy Rain, besides the TV advert?
I’m looking for a PS3, so, I’ve been looking for some games.
I never was a fan of Rockstar Games (specially GTA series), since for me, RDR is a GTA like of game placed in the Wild West of America, one century ago.
I’ve watched some walkthrough videos and I saw that you got a lot of campaign and also side quest missions to complete in order to beat the game 100%, and I feel pretty bored just imagine me playing these missions.
Note that I live in Brazil, and thing are more expensive here than in USA, so you need to think twice and more before buying a game.

If at all you have read advanced computer architecure by henessey and patterson please turn to exercise number 2.1 of second chapter. There in that problem he says the latency beyond a single cycle for memory load is +3. What exactly does this mean? I am getting utterly confused.

I believe that there are things beyond our understanding, and things that science can never explain. Why? Because science is man-made. Science comes from man. It advances as man advances, so it is limited to what we know and understand. If there are things beyond our comprehension, how could science possibly explain it?
What are animals you think are neat beyond normal pets like dogs or cats?
If you have a finite voltage/current source for example of 5v and 600mA. If the transistor amplifies the current will it be larger than 600mA. i.e can it amplify beyond the power being supplied.
If the transistor cannot amplify beyond the power source what exactly is it amplifying? Has it something to do with small signal analysis?

Ok so last night I was looking for a new game to buy and I came across Heavy rain for the ps3 and I looked it up on youtube, this is my kind of game, it looks amazing! I prefer realistic games like the sims 3 but heavy rain is on a whole different level, sims should be more like its much more advanced and real life like. I was wondering what you guys make of quantic dream games? and is there anymore quantic dream games coming out ?
100 years? I mean, Galileo and other old world astronomers knew about planets and had some concept of the solar system as we know it today, but he wouldn’t have had any idea about how the earth’s atmosphere is held in place and what precisely lies beyond atmosphere, would he? It’s really only in the last few generations that we have found answers to these questions, right?
I want to know your opinion- what do you honestly belive is beyond the universe? Is it white space? Is there something else?

I am looking to buy a used Jeep Liberty 4×4 automatic. I have never driven a Jeep before therefore I am questionable about Jeep’s reliability in regards to the upkeep and durability beyond 100,000 miles.

i just bought a comforter from bed bath and beyond and when i took it out of the bag it smelled AMAZING! kind of like when you first walk into the store… does anyone know if they spray something on it to make it smell that way? and if they do, what its called and where i can get it?

First off I’d like to say I loved the game (although it may not seem like it lol) but my experience was soured slightly by some significant plot holes and I’m wondering if I’ve just missed something or if you have to have a different outcome to get some answers or if the game has just been a bit unpolished by quantic dream…
-How did Shelby kill Manfred(the antique dealer)? I saw the flashback where it shows you Shelby hitting him over the head with something but as far as I can remember you control Shelby the whole time and you stay in the front of the shop with Lauren until Manfred takes too long and you find him dead.
-Why would Shelby care the Lauren died? In my game I kicked out the window in the car before I untied Lauren so she died. Then Shelby goes to Kramer’s to get revenge. But whouldn’t be glad she was out of the picture as she was effectively trying to find HIM.
-When Shelby’s mother whispers his name to Maddison she looks shocked but how would she even know who he is? They hadn’t crossed paths.
-What happened to Ethan’s wife/Shaun’s mother? I know if Ethan dies she goes to the grave with Shaun but in my game Ethan and Shaun get an appartment together and she’s nowhere to be seen. Are we supposed to believe she would just let her only son (who had just been rescued form certain death) leave and live with her ex-husband.
-And what I think is the biggest plot hole – What’s with Ethan’s blackouts? I know he has blackouts because of the fact he was in a coma and the trauma of his son dieing but why does he always wake up in that street and more importantly why does he have the origami pieces in his hand?
Like I said I really loved the game, I thouht it was a great change of pace to the usual shoot ‘em ups and the like and I’m hoping there are simple answers to my problems rather than plot holes.
Also did anyone jump out of the window in Shelby’s appartment in the fire scene? If so does Maddison die like she says she would?

There was a patch released on my birthday (March 19) which I just downloaded a few seconds ago since my sister finally told me I could play the game a little while before.
I looked up info about it and it was supposed to fix all the glitches from before which I have never experienced. Now my PS3 freezes whenever I put Heavy Rain in (this has happened twice now). Can anyone help me? Do I just send Quantic Dream an e-mail and hope for the best?
