This November we will be celebrating the seventh birthday of Microsoft’s well known Xbox 360. After seven years the Xbox 360 is still outselling all of the other gaming consoles. It is because of the steady incline in sales that we wont likely hear of a new system releasing at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). We can still dream, though.
Can you blame them? They are sitting pretty with an Xbox LIVE population of roughly 40 million. Since November 2005, they have sold 67 million consoles, and since November 2010, they have sold 19 million Kinect sensors. They are still making money off of a system that has proven its ability to adapt to the new technology, demands, and trends that consumers are constantly looking for. With the Kinect addition and the flooding of advanced dashboard applications, they have given us no need to look beyond this console. However, I could just be biased since I switched from Playstation to strictly Xbox six years ago.

E3 stands for Electronic Entertainment Expo which brings new info on new videogames, it comes each year and for free you could watch on channel G4 (channel 191 on dish network.).
I think it was MGS4, COD4, Mass Effect, Rock Band, and Wii Fit. Didn’t see much Halo to get me hyped.
The Nintendo Wii has emerged with record sales, along with the DS placing its maker above Sony and Microsoft in hardware sales. It has seen significant hits such as Zelda: Twilight Princess and Super Mario Galaxy, both of which borrowed off of extremely popular existing franchises. However, at the 2008 E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) conference, Nintendo was a comparative disappointment with casual games such as Wii Music and Animal Crossing being their only major announcements. Absent were Zelda, Mario, Donkey Kong, Kid Icarus; and even Pokemon’s absence was a mild letdown considering Nintendo’s reputation. While Wii Sports most notably has become wildly popular amongst casual gamers, I suspect that if Nintendo alienates its fanbase sales will gradually become alienated from Nintendo.
” I have been counting the days till E3 07 since E3 06, and as this Electronic Entertainment Expo commenced, i found myself growing sadder and sadder. They had about 20 games on the floor, most of them had meager news to report. No big announcement, no big surprise, no booth babes, and noboby but reporters and stuffy buisnessmen. It was held in a hangar for crying out loud, it was reported that even the video game companies represenatives thought it was a joke, hell Square Enix waked out half way through. So my questons are these.

How come people think PS3 has 256Mb ram when it has 512Mb of ram reason why 360 fanboys whine about it and considers it a CONS.
It is 512Mb since XDR is for main system memory and the other 256Mb is shared for CPU and GPU performance a total of 256 so does 360 it must be divided for somehow if not then it uses cache for the graphic memory which is primitive Structure right back in E3 2005 Sony explained the gap between all of supercomputers where PS3 cell overpass them all and can operate twice as Xbox can now this figure change because there is no game actually do this or achieve this high level of processing.. and reason why it’s change people think it’s the same no it’s not the same. Now this will be change with the Upcoming Uncharted 2 among of thieves since Sony and Naughty dog is trying to make the first game to feature or use all the power of PS3 reason why they update 2.80 firmware just for a game, which is the Uncharted 2.
Sony said reason why there is no such a prove it is advance because they admit that it is difficult to program the CPU but when they did they finally achieve the future of what they expected,

I’m going to upgrade to a Microsoft Xbox because my Nintendo Wii is defected. So should I buy an Xbox now, or wait until the next E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) in June 2011 for a possible announcement of an updated version of the Xbox?

So if I opened a company that produces video game consoles (like Sony,Microsoft and Nintendo), and if it would become very successful, how much money would I have after 5 years?
How hard would it be to buy broken games consoles and fix them up? I want to buy some that are very cheap and try and fix them up and then sell them on ebay but how hard would it be to fix up a games console? Can anyone give me some tips on how to do this? And would I be able to make a good profit from doing this?

What is different in E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) NOW?
As opposed to the E3 of 2006, when is was “Canceled” and suggested that it will never happen again.
My friends got in to E3 2002, by creating a company and applying as a Gamer Magazine “inc.” Executive. they were given VIP treatment because of the Legitimate Gamer magazine confusion. They met a dozen Star Actors, and even more classic game designers.
We attempted the same in 06, but were turned away because of over 1 million people trying to get in.

I know you can “enable” progressive scan on Xbox’s and Gamecubes, but how? Ive heard that for Xbox you pull both triggers and click both sticks, and with the ‘cube you hold b, but how do you know if you’ve activated it? Im playin on an LCD Monitor, so its progessive scan enabled, but Im not sure how to get the consoles to run progessive scan. Also, do you HAVE to have component cables for it? Im using S-video for both the xbox and gamecube. Will I have to get component cables? And is it possible to get component for the gamecube when it has an analog inteface, not a digital one like the first ones made. Thanks.

With sales of video game hardware decreasing, the only way to boost the video game market would be to release the next (8th) generation of consoles. However, I don’t see how they are going to improve on the current 7th generation consoles. High definition graphics are now near-perfect, and interactive motion-sensitive games (Wii/Kinekt) are probably as good as they are going to get.
Does anyone have any ideas or predictions how video gaming can move forward?
