GamersGate already sells downloadable PC games in a similar way to Steam but it has now launched VOID, an ad-supported free gaming service in Scandinavia, the US, and Canada.
Considering this is the first service of its kind, GamersGate is taking a bit of a risk. There is some good news though because ad space in Scandinavia is already sold out through July. Granted, larger regions like the US and Canada are going to be different.
How it seems to work is that you pick a game to fill a slot, of which you only have a handful. Any game in a slot can be downloaded and played from your PC for free. Naturally an ad will play before the game starts but it is unclear if there are any in-game ads. Check out the official site for the full details.
Their service doesn’t have a huge amount of games yet but this is only the first day and they promise to continue adding to the library. Void looks to be a very promising idea and I hope it catches on. It could end up being Spotify for videogames and who wouldn’t want that?

I used to have this game as a digital download on gamersgate.com, but my account their got corrupted, I know this game was on Direct2Drive.com. I can’t find it on any of the digital retailers, Direct2Drive, Gamer’sGate, or Steam, anyone have any idea whats going on with its availability?
Just recently heard buzz about these two sites and that they allow to legally buy/download games online and was wondering how reliable and secure they are with PayPal as well as speed of download and if Fraps can be used to record games from the site
i downloaded sims 3 of gamersgate uk which i bought i wanna buy the expansions like world adventures and ambitions should i continue to buy as downloads online [ which i hate] or should i buy the pc cd rom which seems simpler and will it continue to work?

I have the sims 3 base game and the late night expansion pack,
which were both bought on disc and downloaded through origin.
If I bought the sims 3 generations expansion would it still work alongside the other 2?

I am confused between standard gibbs free energy change and gibbs free energy change. Aren’t both the change in gibbs free energy of the system when reactants are converted completely, or 100 %, to products? Why does the change in gibbs free energy of the reaction change as the reactioin progresses, but the standard gibbs free energy change is the same no matter what.

The Evening Standard (in London) paper recently turned into a free publication. I understand that they did this as they believe the increased revenue from advertising (due to rise in readership levels) will be more than previously received with the cover price. Can they make money in other ways apart from advertising whilst being a free paper?

I have a McAfee paid subscription that is about to expire. I also have AVG free version installed in my computer, and Windows Defender. I really do not want to renew my McAfee antivirus subscription if I can get a good free antivirus. I read some reviews that AVG is not that good, so what are my options? I am trying to download a game off Gamersgate, and when I do, it takes days to download a 2GB game. It says the download speed. It tends to be at about 150kb/s but then it just drops to 0kb/s for almost 5mins and then it slowly goes back up to 150kn/s. It repeats this over and over. This is not just for Gamersgate. It does the same with with Steam. So what is wrong with my internet?

Yesterday I purchased postal 3 on gamersgate, I was downloading it when I got an email saying that my account was locked, so after It finished downloading I needed the serial key, because of the locking I cannot view it.
