Video Games Live Setlist at E3 Will Include Journey, Skyrim, Diablo 3, and More

If you’re a big fan of video game soundtracks like most of us here at The Game Fanatics are then you’re most likely excited for Video Games Live at E3.

Tommy Tallarico felt like spicing things up a bit by including a few extra composers and soundtracks to the mix. The Nokia Theater in Los Angeles will now feature the sounds of composers like Austin Wintory who composed the Journey soundtrack.

With the 25th anniversary of Capcom and their fighter series, a Street Fighter segment have been included as well as segments for Donkey Kong Country, Star Fox, Diablo 3, and a few select tracks from Skryim. The Skyrim segment will be conducted by a special surprise conductor. Diablo 3 will be conducted by Russel Bower and we’ll also see an appearance by Akira Yamaoka. Yamaoka worked for Konami way back in 1993 and resigned in 2009. He’s best known for his work in the eerie Silent Hill series. Yamaoka will be playing the guitar at some point or another during the show.

And finally, a long time request has been added to the show which the man of the hour, Tommy Tallarico, worked on himself. Some Earthworm Jim tones will make a special appearance.

If this has geared you up for Video Games Live at E3 then you might want to check out our Fanatically Favorite Soundtracks to get some video game music juices flowing into your system. Video Games Live will be in the Nokia Theater on June 6th 2012.
