Eight Things Star Wars: The Old Republic Needs

Firstly, I am a huge fan of : Knights of the . I first tried it on the and being curious, I tried it for as well.Personally, the version is terrible, but that’s beside the point. Like many fans, I longed for a III and to this day, I still do.

Even so, I did buy and currently play Star Wars: The Old Republic. I’ve played other MMOs in the past, with City of Heroes being my favorite among them, but even with a based around a community, I rather play solo and enjoy the story (or play along with my husband). I’m no expert when it comes to MMOs, but like ever gamer, I have my own suggestions on how to make it better, especially with SWTOR.

  1. The amount of servers verses the amount of people. Those one low populated servers should be able switch to high populated ones, eliminating the lower populated server. Of course this will cause problems like character names, loosing legacy name and even your guild. It would be handy to be allowed to transfer the entire guild if guild leader transfers to another server. As for legacy and character names, it should be based on how long the player has been active. If a tie, go to their legacy level.
  2. The galactic trade network needs to have a feature where you can sell any item for more than two days. Lets face it, especially in low populated servers, having an item on for only two days is a pain. If there has to be a time limit at least have it set for a week’s time, that would make more sense.
  3. Group space missions.
  4. More single player game content. With low populated servers and those who enjoy playing for the story, single player content would be a nice addition, especially for level 50 characters.
  5. Social minigames like swoop bike racing, pazzak, holo-chess and the option to choose which ones to play instead of a randomize system.
  6. More races to choose from which would require more space…
  7. More character slots. City of Heroes had it where if you were apart of the game for a certain amount of time, you would get extra slots. You could also buy more slots if you wanted to stay on the same server. This is key since there are so many different ways to go about your adventure.
  8. If you have an “evil” character on blue side, you should be able to switch to red side and Empire to Republic. I have a Dark Jedi that I’m playing on Republic side and even though I do enjoy seeing other’s reactions to her, there should be eventually a way to be able to switch her to the Empire side.

I’m confident that most of these might be implemented sometime in the future, be it near or otherwise. Either way we all have our own opinions on how a game should be and how it should be run.

Is the star wars old republic mmo going to be available for xbox 360 becuase I would’nt mind just getting it for the computer but I hate the monthly fees you usually have to pay for mmo’s like world of warcraft. The game would be great for 360 anyway.

I am running this game on Windows Vista and i installed it correctly but no matter how much i try to get it to work it says…

“Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2- The Sith Lords has stopped working”

    Please Help!

  3. I really like your ideas for improving the game, but do you really think that MORE single player content is the answer to their problems?
I mean, I haven’t played the game extensively but I heard that it seems like you can do most all the level grind alone. I would suggest more group content, get people to socialize and know one another. That’s what MMOs are all about.
Group missions do sound amazing though.

Wanting more single player content is a bit bias on my part, just because I enjoy playing solo. I have been soloing my level 29 Jedi however my level 27 smuggler now needs help and I can’t solo her right now. Of course that’s my fault for rushing her, I think.

I really enjoyed Knights of the Old Republic I and II but not the other Star Wars games. Is this new one like KOR, or Unleashed, etc.???

Which do you guys think is better; Star wars the old republic or World of Warcraft? I’m thinking of buying either one but I don’t know which. I like fantasy and I’m also a fan of star wars so that isn’t a problem.

  6. My computer barely runs the game WOW. Are the system requirments for Old republic more? Or the same?

I have a Windows 7 Home Premium computer and I was wondering if Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic will work on it. It runs SWKotOR 2: The Sith Lords fine. So will it work with the first KotOR? Thanks!

  9. I bought the game and had to pack it away in storage with my stuff while I’m visiting my folks in another state. I’d love to try it out since I haven’t gotten to play yet, is there a trial version?

  10. In your opinion, which game is longer:
Star wars Knights of the Old Republic
    or
Star wars Knights of the Old Republic II The Sith Lords

Also do you think these prices are good for the games )these are for xbox):
Star wars Knights of the Old Republic – $9.99
Star wars Knights of the Old Republic II The Sith Lords – $19.99

  11. I have to decide which one I’ll play the next year. Currently I’ve cancelled my wow subsciption because I’ve grown bored but maybe MOP will change that. I’ll have to buy a new PC to play SW: TOR.
However, SW: TOR has the promise of incredible story and I played both KOTOR 1 and 2 and I loved it.
Still I have a lot of friends in WoW but some of them are moving to SWTOR too…
I know I’ll spend a lot of time playing so its a big decision and I am divided.

PS: Please no video game haters, I am not telling you what to do with your free time and its the least vice a man can have….

  12. everytime i start star wars knights of the old republic 2 i get an error message: runtime error! program c:program fileslucasartsswkotor2swkotor2.ext abnormal program termination.

what does that mean and how do i stop it from happening?

The steam heat boiler has copper feeds to the radiators in this 1 pipe system. The pressure for steam heat is also much lower than in forced hot water. Obviously the Cu pipe can take the heat if there are functioning Cu (copper) lines in place already. Why not install modern, finned, forced hot water baseboard radiators?

How high is the temperature in a clothes dryer on average?? I did a search but came up with nothing helpful. My son has lice and I was curious as to whether the temperature gets hot enough to kill the nasty buggers or if I really have to wash all the clothes and bedding in hot water. I read somewhere that it has to maintain a temp of at least 130 farenheit for 20 minutes to kill them. Are dryers hotter than that?
All I really want to know is how hot the dryer gets… can anyone tell me or do I have to take it’s temperature?

I am making hot chocolate (the hot chocolate that comes in the packets) and I like using hot milk instead of hot water because it makes it richer. My microwave is broken so how do I make milk hot without a microwave? And if it is on a stove or something like that, what do I use and how long and what temperature. Answer quick. Thanks!

  17. I just installed the Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic on my laptop and it says there’s a problem with the operating system. I have Windows 7 and it says it needs Windows 98, ME, 2000 or XP. Is there anything I can do to make it work on my laptop without having to change the OS?

  18. I have hot chocolate mix, but am super bored and want to make a fancy hot chocolate! I have steamed milk (Espresso machine) and either milk/dark chocolate. Do you know of any recipes I could use to make a delicious hot chocolate?

  19. I have a nice new laptop that has Windows Vista Home Basic programed into it. Will my ” Star Wars Knights Of The Old Republic 1 ” for PC work on my computer?
