  1. Is there a Mac version of ‘Rome: Total War’? The Feral Interactive site says they will be releasing one in March – it’s been saying that for about 18 months. Can anyone help me?

  2. I am using a mac 10.5.6 (newest version of leopard) and I just got the game Black and White 2 in the mail and it always crashes RIGHT when I click on “new game”. Im almost positive that my mac meets all the requirements i would have looked on Feral Interactive’s website but the game was just ported for mac so it has no support yet. Also Their number is very confusing and I can’t get ahold of them. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP OR I LOST LIKFE 60 BUCKS!!! plus this is like my favorite game of all time

I got a kitten at four weeks old from some feral cats nearby. I had him fixed and when real young he was very affectionate. As he got a little older he just played rough but, not so affectionate.

In the beginning I thought he would grow out of this playing rough stage but, as he is a year old now he has become evasive with people, even me but, he’s very affectionate only when trying to get food. Other than food time we are hard pressed to even find him as he’s no longer interactive with people.

Is there anything that can be done for this cat to give him the impression that we are his family? We have another cat, a kitten that is several months old which is very sweet, there has been discord in the house about getting rid of this cat and having him put down because he’s not very friendly and now acts like a partial feral except when food is around. He will actually bite strangers if they try to pet him. He doesn’t bite us though.

There has been no abuse, he has been pretty much pampered since 4 weeks old. He’s been to the vet and nothing is wrong with him except he is a little overweight.

    Please help.

He was neutered at 6 months
He is a male. He acted like this before the other kitten was even obtained.
The problems with a shelter is there is not one in this area. Nobody will take him because he is a mean cat. It is either the pound where he’ll be euthanized or take him to a vet to be euthanized if this route is pursued. I live with roommates whom really don’t like him because he is a mean cat, he tries to bite their guests etc. I would rather find a way to get him to just a sweet cat.

  4. The Movies is a simulation game created by Lionhead Studios for Microsoft Windows and subsequently ported to Apple Mac OS X by Feral Interactive. It was released on November 8, 2005 in the United States of America, and November 11, 2005 in Europe after reaching gold status on October 8, 2005.

The game allows players to take the role of a Hollywood film mogul, running a studio and creating films. Much has been made about the film-making aspect of the game, as it allows players to easily create viewable works or machinima. The game is similar to the early 1990s film production game Stunt Island; the game is also similar to the 1988 game Charlie Chaplin, the 1996 game Steven Spielberg’s Director’s Chair and, to a lesser extent, the 1996 game 3D Movie Maker.

On June 6, 2006, the first, and to date, only expansion pack was released, The Movies: Stunts and Effects. This expansion added a host of new features, among which were stunts (and stunt doubles), and special effects.

Im doing well but she/he still wont let me get too close.

She will come inside my door about 5 feet and eat when Im about 5 feet away. And then when she gets done with her wet/dry mix we often play a little food game. I throw the little kibbles or whatever at or near her and she chases it down, bats at it and eats it. Its the only time I can move without scaring her and that’s because she knows Im tossing the food pieces. Its interactive and fun for a few minutes. We do it at a distance as she is more comfortable with 8-12 feet between us.

She comes by and eats at least twice a day. Three times today. But then she goes back in the woods behind my house during the day and then under my shallow deck at night.

The kitty is pretty dependent on me for food and usually meows to tell me she wants it. I just feel like I could or should be doing something else or making more progress or something. It will be getting cold soon and Im not going to sit there with my back door wide open as Ive been doing for almost a month now. (I usually just leave a few pieces out when Im not around. She will eat those and usually hang around because she knows more will come shortly)

I guess Im targeting the 3rd friday in Oct to trap her and take her in for a $45 feral cat friday at a local clinic.

Im not sure how old the kitty is but my guess is somewhere in the 10-14 week range. Im pretty sure that her mother was born a feral and Im the only human she has ever had contact with. And I dont mean physical contact. I just talk nicely to her. “Its ok, kitty kitty, Its ok”. That seems to calm her a little bit

I loved this game on my old sega saturn and heard it was out for PC/DOS. I have searched all over the place and cant find it. anyone know where a working torrent or something I can get a full and working version of “The Horde” is? I am currently downloading old 3D0 versions of the game but it has very poor quality hosts and will take a horrendous amount of time.
I did have a saturn emulator and got the game (supposedly) but never worked properly. I could try it again though, maybe someone got a little update and a fix haha

The Tea Party appears to be the creation of the Koch brothers, about whom another poster on Yahoo recently wrote:

“The Tea Party is funded and directed by the Koch brothers. They direct the message.

The Koch brothers are oil billionaires who have one of the worst safety and environmental records in history and whose father was a founding member of the John Birch society.”

Austin Goolesby recently defended the Obama tax plan.

He said that we can’t afford to borrow money to give a $700 Billion tax break to the millionaires. That kind of tax break won’t do the economy any good.

It’s better to give taxbreaks to people earning less than $200K/year, and to small businesses. That kind of tax break will help the economy.

Is it the case that McConnell, Boehner, and the Tea Party are all tools of the Billionaires Club and that they are playing Americans for fools to such an outrageous and obvious degree that even the most simple minded American conservatives are going to figure out by election day that the GOP and the Tea Party are both in the pocket of the Koch Brothers and their kind.

Americans can only be manipulated so far with the Southern Strategy — downplay the pocketbook issues, play up Bibles, Guns and Abortion.

At some point, there are no suckers left.

People will see that the Austin Goolesbe/Obama line of reasoning is much more reasonable than the McConnel/Boehner/Tea Party reasoning.

Keep in mind that General elections, unlike primaries, are usually decided by the Independent voters.

The independents are not as partisan, and not nearly as likely to be suckered by the Koch Brothers as the stooges who work for the Koch Brothers or their many partisan victims.

Obama should say — 15% rate for those earning 200K/year or less, take it or leave it — the rest of the G.W. Bush tax reductions expire on schedule.

If the GOP wants to play games and make everybody pay higher tax rates by rejecting the Obama proposal then on their heads be it.

Prior to November 2, 2010, there will be no action on the tax issue — just lots of huffing and puffing, lots of head fakes, lots of smoke a mirrors. Obama’s position is crystal clear, and he will keep it that way. But the Koch Brothers are going to be all over the map, dodging a weaving, hoping to keep people confused, and make them vote GOP or Tea Party, which I think they will do.

The House may go GOP in November.

But know this — The refusal of the GOP to be reasonable means the Pre Bush tax rates would be back for everybody — The House would be faced with passing a tax cut bill FROM A STANDING START!

Real hard to do, then get it through the Senate, then get Obama to sign it. The GOP victory in the House, won’t be nearly adequate for a veto over-ride.

So Obama can just not sign it.

He can say, I made my offer, you turned me down, your intransigence caused taxes for everybody to be raised giving no break to people earning less than 200K/year — Now you live with your decision.

Obama can make that an albatross around the GOP’s neck.

Most Americans earn less than 200K/year.

So, the GOP going in to 2012 is dogfood, and they did it to themselves, well …. with a lot of help from the Koch Brothers ….. nice work boys!

Combinatorics and socio-political dynamics are not a playground. Politics is not beanbag.

The author of this question worked for Nixon, Reagan, and Bush I and would be very grateful if you could desist from calling him a liberal. All I’m saying is Austin Goolesby beats Koch Brothers by 2012 — people will figure it out — the GOP will have to live with their decisions, which I think are improvident (as, by the way, does Karl Rove but for other reasons). Real conservatives don’t like what they see in this tax rate debate — to us it looks like the handwriting on the wall for 2012 becoming a missed opportunity for victory.

  12. Back in 1996 when i bought tomb raider 1. it was one of the best games i played, the graphics wernt that good but when you were stuck you WERE stuck and the same with 2,3,4,5 and now 6,legend, underworld and of course gaurdian of light, when i god AOD when it first came out for ps2 i was instantly not a fan of it and this was when they got rid of core design and there were to many bugs and glitches and i felt let down, now legend the first game to be published by Crystal Dynamics, i have to say it was excellent because of all the graphics but it was way too short believe it or not i completed it in 1 day and even found all secrets, now underworld the 3rd by crustal dynamics and new square enix who bought eidos interactive and yet again TOO SHORT personally i remember the likes of tomb raider 4 what had about 36 levels and was too hard well for me it was and im gonna give up with gaudian of light cause ive seen how many levels they were and guess what the same as legend and underworld, thats me clocked a game the day after i got it, and i just want your opinions guys about my topic, is it the new takeover of tomb raider or the new staff. AMEN

I left out anniversary people because it was similar to the 1st game and actually enjoyed this one….peace out

Whether the lens is a solid crystal or gas, how does the
process work. I was told that the lens steps up the intensity
of the coherent light wave, just as a transformer would step
up the voltage of electricity. What spectrums of light do lasers
operate in. Any references- books, web sties would be
    appriciated. thanks

  14. Me and 5 friends are all pitching in 20 dollars or less. My friend just got a new room so something that goes with this comforter would be good. I already looked at the stuff on the site that goes with it, but they are too expensive. She also like music and movies a lot, and goes on the computer all the time. Because she is only getting one gift, we want it to be good. What should I get her? I was thinking maybe a comfy chair that matches the bed, so if you can find one post the link.

    Here is her new stuff

  15. So from what I know of tomb raider history, lara croft’s mother, Amelia, died in a plane crash when lara was very young, yet in Tomb Raider Legend, Amelia disappears during the ritual with the stone dias. Whats the deal? Did Crystal Dynamics just choose to throw out tomb raider history when they took over the series? Or am I missing something….?

  16. I for one love Valve for creating Half Life (the best game series ever),for keeping PC gaming alive through Steam and for being part of the gaming community.
Bioware, Raven Software and Crystal Dynamics are great too imo.

  17. So, was reading the new Game Informer and came across this. I guess they’re going for a more “realistic” look and trying for more depth of character. A more real body shape (smaller cup size, lol), grittier, dirtier, less glossy. Someone who bleeds and cries and whatever. They said they want her to be someone that people can identify with. I think the character looks good, but for right now I still have a little trouble seeing her as Lara. What do you think?

The new tomb raider tells her origin story on what made her who she is and it shows her learning how to do all the things Lara does in her adventures. It’s her first adventure, and in an interview a developer said at the end of the game she is fully prepared for future adventures, and she puts on the original shorts and blue shirt.

Do you think they might remake Tomb Raider 1,2,3? They were very popular games and LOTS of fans have been wanting remakes of them for a while. All they have to do is use the new controls, very similar gameplay and the same story, new graphics, and done.

I personally hope so! I’m a huge tomb raider fan and I love the original 3 and It looks like the new tomb raider is great, so if they used those graphics, controls, and similar gameplay, I would love for them to remake the original 3.

    What do you think?

  19. So I’ve been getting into techno a little bit, but it’s hard to find stuff I like. I hate dance techno, or techno with horrible DJ voices dubbed over, or really happy melodies, or samples from the 80′s and 90′s thrown over it. Singers are usually horrible in techno, so if they have singing it should be carefully selected and not overdone.

I need good techno band recommendations, bands that really take the genres to new levels, that make their own samples, try new things, maybe even throw in some regular acoustic sounds in too. I like scratchy sounds and playing with dynamics, messing with time. Yeah, interesting beats and time signatures are very important for me.

“Rollin’ and Scratchin’” by Daft Punk is the type of thing I’m looking for, but I’ve heard their albums and hated most of it. Crystal method is ok, a little soft sometime. Chemical Brothers are ok, haven’t heard too much. But i want something more.

If you give me recommendations, DO NOT just list 20-30 bands from your playlist, pick the very best, top 3 please please.
    my biting reviews so far:

I Am Xray is exactly the type of techno I hate.

Didn’t really like Cut Copy, not bad, closer to what I want.

33HZ sounded like a prince cover band with a four on the floor back beat.

LEMON JELLY- I like : ))) not the intense kind of music i was expecting but very nice, mellow, and interesting, thank you for this one, very much. Nice Weather for Ducks is a great track.

Atari Teenage Riot-hah, like hardcore punk techno, good mosh music. They take themselves a little too seriously though.

Stereolab is nice, the type of band I’d really have to hear more of to understand, lot of substance there, just can’t say it caught me the way Lemon Jelly did. I’ll listen to more of them.

Well unless anyone comes in with something that blows my mind, you’ll get best answer Jay S, Thank you for the suggestions, please don’t take any of my criticisms too seriously
    : )

(oh, got any album recommendations for Stereolab?)

  20. Eidos will no longer exist, well actually it will still be used by former Eidos development studios like Eidos Shanghai, Eidos Hungary, and Eidos Montreal. Eidos has been absorbed into Square Enix Europe. Let me tell you a story.

Once Square Enix was two seperate rival companies: Square (Squaresoft) and Enix. They were both well known for their RPGs. However in 2003 Square and Enix announced they would merge, this is great they may take too long to make a game but this is still great. Some years later they bid for Tecmo, but Tecmo merges with Koei instead (Koei Europe has been renamed either Koei Tecmo Europe or Tecmo Koei Europe). Instead Square Enix bids for Eidos which makes Tomb Raider. They win and Eidos remains independent. Right now though Eidos is absorbed into Square Enix’s new european division. All future Eidos IP will be published by Square Enix. Crystal Dynamics will still create Tomb Raider titles. Am I angry about what happened to Eidos, not really. Im sorta sad, but not angry.

Though I am curious about future games. Square Enix owns Eidos IP and development studios. This should help them gain non RPG franchises and extend their reach. What happened to Eidos is the same thing that happened to Sierra (it was absorbed into Activision). What do you think about this news???

  21. I’m huge fan of tomb raider but the new one coming out is plain ridiculous, it’s an insult to the tomb raider franchise, and not to mention an utter disgrace. The new tomb raiders by crystal dynamics are extremely horrible as opposed to the classics. I mean seriously, if you don’t know how to make a tomb raider game then just don’t make one! I hate this!
