Is it just me, or does it seem like some of the most anticipated titles are constantly being postponed to release next year instead of later this year? With news breaking last week that Bioshock Infinite is being delayed until 2013, we can go ahead and add the Tomb Raider reboot to the list.
Now as I’ve said before, I’ve never been much of a Tomb Raider fan…but I was seriously looking forward to this! Below you can read a message from David Gallagher, Head of Studio at Crystal Dynamics:
A Message to the Tomb Raider Community
When Crystal Dynamics first set out to reboot the Tomb Raider franchise, there were two goals that we were extremely passionate about. The first was to create a modern Tomb Raider game that would surprise and excite gamers. The second was to make this the best game of our careers, something we would be really proud to be a part of. We truly believe that we have something very special on our hands and we can’t wait to share it with you.
Our priority now is to make sure we fully deliver the very highest quality game. In order to do this, we have decided to move the game’s release date by a few months, from Fall 2012 to the first quarter of 2013.
We’re doing things that are completely new to Tomb Raider in this game and the additional development time will allow us to put the finishing touches into the game and polish it to a level that you deserve. We believe this is the right choice and I guarantee it will be worth the wait. The game is looking amazing and we can’t wait to show it to everyone at E3 in a few weeks.

If this statement holds true, then the Tomb Raider reboot better knock our socks off when it releases. I am all for a studio taking extra time to perfect a video game, but expectations will be extremely high and hopefully the crew at Crystal Dynamics can fulfill them. If you have questions, concerns, or any opinions to voice, you can interact on the forums here and be sure to check back for any updates on the Tomb Raider reboot!

OMG
Boo! This was actually one of the games I was looking forward to this year (and there aren’t many, at all).

This is a petition basically a document to show Eidos and crystal Dynamics how many people want to see a new legacy of kain game considering the story never concluded.
Also what would you like to see in the next LOK game if it is made.
Signing petition would be
most helpful…thank you
I loved this game on my old sega saturn and heard it was out for PC/DOS. I have searched all over the place and cant find it. anyone know where a working torrent or something I can get a full and working version of “The Horde” is? I am currently downloading old 3D0 versions of the game but it has very poor quality hosts and will take a horrendous amount of time.
I did have a saturn emulator and got the game (supposedly) but never worked properly. I could try it again though, maybe someone got a little update and a fix haha
I have an idea for a new Tomb Raider game, which I feel could put the franchise back on top. Is it in anyway posible to give my idea to Crystal Dynamics or Eidos?
hi
I recently downloaded the european version of gex 3: deep cover gecko from the playstation network. I remember when I first got the game on CD years ago there was a playable demo of akuji the heartless, which was also developed by crystal dynamics. did they remove the demo from the PSN release or was it always missing from the european version.
Do you prefer the old school blocky yet nostalgic, challenging, and exciting gameplay of the original Core Design Tomb Raider Series, or do you prefer the action and adreneline of the Crystal Dynamics enhanced Tomb Raider game engine.
I for one love Valve for creating Half Life (the best game series ever),for keeping PC gaming alive through Steam and for being part of the gaming community.
Bioware, Raven Software and Crystal Dynamics are great too imo.
I’m huge fan of tomb raider but the new one coming out is plain ridiculous, it’s an insult to the tomb raider franchise, and not to mention an utter disgrace. The new tomb raiders by crystal dynamics are extremely horrible as opposed to the classics. I mean seriously, if you don’t know how to make a tomb raider game then just don’t make one! I hate this!

Whether the lens is a solid crystal or gas, how does the
process work. I was told that the lens steps up the intensity
of the coherent light wave, just as a transformer would step
up the voltage of electricity. What spectrums of light do lasers
operate in. Any references- books, web sties would be
appriciated. thanks

I’m 17 in December this year and I’m curious to find out if there is an official decision that the age limit to drive is increasing to 18 in 2013? Is this true or just another rumor?
I’m from the United Kingdom, Wales.
I am attempting to submit an application to Georgia State University for the Fall 2013 term, and I’d like to apply Early Action. One field in the application asks me for my Term of Entrance, but the only available option is Fall 2012. Do I select that option or save my application until Fall 2013 is available? I know this is a really stupid question but I really don’t want to make any mistakes on something this important.
It’s all about math this is all the question says 2013 = 40who can figure it out ?
There is 259 days until Mardi Gras 2013. Ill be starting my new job in june as a server at Buffalo Wild Wings. This is a trip with all my buddys. I just want to know if there is like a bank account or piggy bank or what. Im terrible at saving my money and i need help! I want to save about 1000 to 1500 $.
I’ve applied to dozens of scholarships in the past year or so and only received one for a couple hundred bucks, but I still need more in order to afford school. Does anyone have any good ideas for scholarships? Even if it won’t apply for the fall 2012 semester, that’s fine with me as long as it helps out for spring 2013.
I was just wondering when the application process for the fall 2013-14 school year of Chico state university started.
I know I really shouldn’t be doing this, but I have no idea what else to do. Im 13 years old, female, in grade 8 and I have to write a 5 paragraph essay about the power of water. This concludes the opening paragraph, one about tsunamis, one about avalanches, one about landslides, and a closing paragraph. I got the first four done, but I’m really stumped on the closing paragraph! It would mean the world to me if you guys could give me some ideas on how to close it. It has to be between 5-8 sentences. Here is what i have for my first 4 paragraphs:
Power of Water
Water plays an extremely large role in everyday life. It covers 70.9% of the Earth’s surface, and is necessary for all known forms of life. On earth, it is mostly found in oceans and other large bodies of water. 1.6% of water below ground in aquifers and 0.001% in the air as vapor, clouds, and precipitation. Oceans hold 97% of surface water, glaciers and polar ice caps is 2.4%, and other land surface water such as rivers, lakes and ponds is 0.6%. A very small amount of Earth’s water is contained within biological bodies and manufactured products. As you can see, water is a very big necessity, but sometimes instead of helping, it destroys. There are many harmful forms of water such as tsunamis, avalanches, and landslides.
A tsunami is a series of ocean waves that sends surges of water, sometimes reaching heights of over 100 feet onto land. These waves can cause a lot of damage when they crash ashore. They are usually caused by big undersea earthquakes at tectonic plate boundaries. When the ocean floor rises or falls suddenly, it displaces the water above it and launches the rolling waves that will turn into a tsunami. Around 80% of these overwhelming water flows happen within the Pacific Ocean’s “Ring of Fire”. This area is a geologically active area where tectonic shifts make volcanoes and earthquakes common. Tsunamis are also caused by underwater landslides or volcanic eruptions. In deep oceans, tsunami waves may appear only a foot or so high, but, as they approach shoreline and enter shallower water they slow down and begin to grow in energy and height. The tops of the waves move faster than their bottoms do, which causes them to rise precipitously. The best defense against any tsunami is early warning that allows people to seek higher ground.
An Avalanche is a huge mass of ice and snow that breaks away from the side of a mountain and surges downward at great speed. There are three main types of avalanches and the first one is a wet-snow avalanche. These usually occur during the spring. Also, there are dry-snow avalanches that are the more deadly ones. Last but not least is a slab avalanche which happens when a huge chunk of solid snow breaks away from a slope and slides across a layer of loose snow crystals lying beneath. Most avalanches result from weather conditions that cause snow on a mountain slope to become unstable. Such disturbances as heavy winds, earth tremors, and explosions can send the snow sliding down. Skiers have started many avalanches. Weather is the most important factor in determining if an avalanche will even occur.
Landslides are rock, earth, or debris flows on slopes due to gravity. They can occur on any ground given the right conditions of soil, moisture, and the angle of slope. Necessary to the natural process of the earth’s surface geology, landslides serve to rearrange soil and debris in a process that can be in sudden collapses or in slow, even slides. Such is the nature of the earth’s surface dynamics. Also known as mud flows, debris flows, earth failures, slope failures, etc., they can be triggered by rains, floods, earthquakes, and other natural causes as well as human-made causes, such as grading, ground cutting and filling, continuous development, etc. Because the factors affecting landslides can be geophysical or human-made, they can occur in developed areas, undeveloped areas, or any area where the terrain was altered for roads, houses, utilities, buildings, and even for lawns in someones backyard. They occur in all different places with changing frequency and more than half the countries and states have rates sufficient to be classified as a significant natural hazard.
Please help!

I read today that there are plans for 2013 to down size the current 2.6 ltr v8 to a 1.6 ltr four cylinder engine running a 500 bar fuel system. I for one am going to miss the sound of the 18,000 rpm engine compared to the preposed 12,000 rpm engine.
