The Avengers Hits $1 Billion in Worldwide Box Office, Breaks Records.

What is looking like to be the biggest blockbuster of 2012, may just be one of the biggest blockbusters of all time.

The Avengers came out on April 25th internationally with a domestic release of May 4th. In those 19 days since, The Avengers has earned an estimated $1,002.1 billion. We expected it to make a lot of money, but were these high of number anticipated by anyone? I highly doubt it. Lets take a look at all the records The Avengers has already made and broken.

The Avengers:

Is the fastest film to hit $200 million in three days. ($207.4 million)
The fastest film to hit $300 million in nine days.
Is the first film in history to earn over $1 million dollars in its second weekend.
Has the highest Saturday total of all time. ($69.5 million)
Has the highest Sunday total of all time. ($57 million)
Has the second-biggest single-day gross of all time. ($80.8 million)
In 19 days overthrew The Dark Knight‘s $1,001.9 billion and has climbed to the 11th spot on the all-time worldwide list.
Is the first Marvel movie to reach $1 billion dollars and Disney’s fifth.

ok so im confused about the hulk in The Avengers. Early in the movie when they’re on that ship thing he uncontrolably transforms and is unable to control himself. Later on he Willingly transforms saying that his secret is being angry all the time. While transformed he seems to be able to control himself and understand his friends. Had he been able to control it the whole time? Or did he learn somewhere in the course of the movie? Can anybody explain this to me?

I have seen both the second trailer and the prologue for The Dark Knight Rises, and I have to say I was pretty impressed. However, the obvious problem was Bane’s voice, but it’s clear that will get checked and perfected for the final piece. What I found weird was people saying that the second trailer was over hyped? I don’t understand why people are complaining about the football scene in particular getting blown up? I thought the film would be on the road to topping the dark knight, but these negative comments are already coming in!

I know that many people love the Nolan’s Batman films, but everybody that already saw the movie had to admit that The Avengers is better for many reasons, one is that is funnier than Batman Begins or The Dark Knight and maybe also The Dark Knight Rises, actually, this Batman movies aren’t funny at all, so what do you think?

Just saw the movie, it was awesome and Hawkeye was my favorite hero! I’m just wondering if there could ever be a bow that kind of pops out like his does, I know it’s just a movie prop ad doesn’t actually work. Would it mess up the bow if it had that opportunity?

I am really glad that The Dark Knight is going to be re-released in theaters and imax january 23, i prefer watching it on the big screen than at home. Since the Oscars are around the corner, is this a way for the dark knight to get more nominations, maybe win best picture of the year? Or is it also to make it the highest grossing film of all time?

4 million jobs for 8 billion dollars sounds real expensive per job. Why not just give 4 million people what it cost to create the jobs and let them decide how to spend the money.

Think about SERIOUS disasters like in 2012. Could Superman or the Avengers have stopped the disasters? And what could they have done?
Alright let’s say we put Avengers in the movie 2012, What the heck would they do?

And let’s say we put Superman (Returns version) in the movie 2012, what would he do to save the earth from tectonic displacement that would happen everywhere at once, and cause giant tsunamis? And from America from sinking into the oceans?

Or, more specifically, where exactly would the money come from? Because the new bailout plan originates from the Senate, it cannot be a revenue bill. Therefore, the money will not be directly taxed from citizens.

I know that the Senate is using H.R. 1424, the Paul Wellstone Mental Health and Addiction Equity Act of 2008, as the “vehicle for the economic rescue legislation,” but what does that mean in simple terms?

Sorry if the question is confusing; what I really want to know is basically two things:
1) What exactly is the proposed bill amending, and
2) Where will the 700 billion dollars come from?

So imagine you can somehow travel to a distance of 13 billion light years or so (about the distance of the Hubble Ultra Deep Field) in an instant, right here and right now. The real life,real time, view would be different than the the 13 billion year old Deep Field photo right? So what would it look like now?
