Wolfenstein 3D Celebrates Its 20th Birthday With A Browser Version Of The Game

In 1992,  changed the world of when they released Wolfenstein , the “grandfather of 3D shooters.” While not as famous as the game they put out the following year, , Wolfenstein 3D set the precedent for what was possible with 3D first person shooters.

In honor of the game’s 20th anniversary,  has published a browser version of the game, which you can go and play right now.
Seriously, go play.

While the Wolfenstein franchise may have not enjoyed the success of DOOM or Quake, the 2001 reboot, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, as well as the multiplayer free-to-play expansion Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, are one of the best multiplayer games ever created.     I just acquired the old Wolf 3d trigger I cherished that game again in the day. I for some cause even though cannot get it to perform on my computer. I have Windows XP.. The recreation is MSDOS mode. It functions on my dads computer which is XP and my husbands perform pc which is XP but it wont operate on mine. Its like it tries to load, but the my display screen goes blank. Do any of you pc wiz’s have any guidance for me?

    I downloaded some files from megaupload that has the game, wolfenstein 3d. I have windows 7 and downloaded dosbox, but i’ve never used dos before! i have no idea what to do. help, please?

    In the game, Fallout 3, where or more importantly how did Bethesda get the rights to the music they used? I would like to contact the person who owns the rights to the song Dear Hearts And Gentle People by Bob Crosby but I don’t know how to contact said person or where to look. The wikipedia pages for Bob Crosby and those relating are very hard to navigate to find this information. If anyone could help contact the person with the rights to the song, Dear Hearts And Gentle People, I’d be very thankful.

    Bethesda Game Studios (hope I’m spelling that right) made the Creation Engine for Elder Scrolls: Skyrim. How long did it take for them to create the Creation Engine and how long afterwards to create Skyrim?

    so when i open up skyrim it will goto the bethesda logo, and then rate after its done.. it crashes!
    and i tryed the thing with the sound and to make it like the 16 bit thing. DONT WORK! please help!

    I’m looking to rent an indoor basketball gym once a week during the winter so that I can play basketball with friends. Not sure if this is available but I’m looking in the NW DC/Chevy Chase/Bethesda/silver spring area as this is where me and my friends live around.

    If Bethesda decided to choose three mods from Skyrim Nexus or the Steam Workshop to put onto the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Skyrim as a single expansion pack, which three would you want to see and why?

    PS: Please, no “That’s never going to happen.” or “The PC version is the best anyway, so who cares?” or any other rude or smart-alec comments.

    I need to ship my car from Bethesda, Maryland to Scottsdale, Arizona in early winter and back to Maryland in the spring. How do I find the most reliable company to do this? Would my auto ins cover this trip if something would happen and are these companies bonded? I am handing over my car with the keys and it scares me a little bit. Any pros or cons would be helpful also.

    Is it mainly creating a story and scene whilst others create it?
    I would of thought you needed a degree but when I looked at the entry requirements on the bethesda website it didn’t say you needed a degree in anything.
    What sort of stuff would they look for if you were to apply for a job as a quest writer?

    Are they coming out with more expansion packs or are they going to make another Elder Scrolls game? Even so they would still release content right? Keep the masses appeased until the next game is released, the did for Morrowind.
    If confused, they said that before releasing the Stronghold download, the one that was free for a week.

    I’ve gotten a new job in bethesda and want to avoid traffic, but googlemaps doesn’t take into account the traffic. I’ve been given a route up the GW Parkway all the way past mclean and then merging onto 495 and going around then down. Will there be much traffic on 495 going north up there? Does anyone know a good route?
