Journey Developers Prepping for New Game Announcement at E3?

Thatgamecompany, the people behind the PSN best-seller Journey, are gearing up to announce their next game soon.

The announcement will likely come after negotiations with “various partners” are finished and could come as early as next month, which would only mean E3 if it happens that soon.  Furthermore, Thatgamecompany has finished their three-game contract with Sony, allowing them to release games on other platforms if they’d like, which seems to be the direction Jenova Chen, one of the studio’s founders, is heading.

Interested? You should be, as Thatgamecompany has released three critically lauded games and shows no signs of slowing down.

I just lately uncovered ThatGameCompany, and it’s gorgeous games. It’s truly good actually, I think I get pleasure from their video games a lot more than the stressful shooters I play. I actually cherished Flower and Journey! So does anybody know any far more great video games that supply a a lot more peaceful and low-stress experience like these do? Aid would be a lot appreciated!

I just lately learned ThatGameCompany, and it can be lovely games. It Really Is actually good actually, I believe I enjoy their game titles a lot more than the nerve-racking shooters I play. I genuinely loved Flower and Journey! So does any person know any more very good video clip video games that offer you a far more peaceful and low-stress expertise like those do? Support would be much appreciated!

  3. Recently ThatGameCompany released the PlayStation 3 Exclusive: Journey, and it seems like a nice game.

ThatGameCompany’s aim in this game was to revolutionize the multiplayer experience. In the game you need to complete a tedious journey through levels toe ventully get to the top of a mountain. Having a companion to help you makes the game finish faster and can help you survive agenst the troubles ahead. This unique interaction draws players to play the game together rather solo.

The thing with this is..It’s a totally new way of interacting. You cant communicate in any way possible, other then movement and a single pulse. and who you are paird with is totally random(i already made of a friend in Germany because of this..)

My question is..Why do people suddenly hate the game without even trying it! My own brother don’t like it and he hasn’t even tried it, i don’t get it.

Its like they wont play it because you cant communicate in any way..if so then they’re pethetic.

I heard about a company called “thatgamecompany” (Not a joke, that is the real name.) A particular game called “Journey” got me thinking. Why or why not?

  5. Simply put, I think it is amazing the way that I can connect so deeply with a stranger, yet we have not spoken one word to each other. It is just some immediate emotional attachment where I’ll wait for them, knowing they’d do the same for me. I can barely explain it.

So, what do you think of Journey’s multiplayer? I am referring to the downloadable game on the Ps3 made by thatgamecompany.

And, what is your overall opinion of the game? I thought it was stunning.

(I am re-posting this question because I only got one answer. Thanks everyone.)
Oh, well thank you for answering again, haha.

You are right. People don’t know what real games are anymore.

  7. How do independent game developers and companies get their games onto big consoles like xbox, pc, and PS3? For example, Journey is a game from an independent game company, thatgamecompany. The managed to get their game on to the PS3 console. Limbo is also an indie game, and it got onto the xbox and pc. So how do they do it? Do you have to know microsoft or sony, or can you just make a game and get it published by them? I know I sound a little confusing, I just can’t think of another way to state it.
