Okay, so for Christmas, my sister is getting me an Xbox 360, and she decided that she definitely wants to get 250GB. However, we’re undecided as to whether or not we want to get it with the Kinect Holiday Bundle or without.
With the Kinect Bundle, it would be $399.99
But without it would be $299.99
My sister wants only one game with the Kinect (and the Bundle would come with 2 games already), but she’s working a lot so she wouldn’t ever have time to play it except for on the weekends – so I kind of thought that it would be unreasonable for us to buy it because I don’t know how I would feel about it (I don’t know if I would like it or not).
However, I have heard good things about the Kinect, which makes me undecided.
I was hoping I could get some feedback and recommendations as to which purchase we should make. Would the Kinect be worth it, given the circumstances? Or should we just get the Xbox without it for $100 less?

I plan on getting the xbox 360 kinect bundle for $199.99 which goes on sale on thanksgiving day at 10:00pm. Since this is my second year doing black friday I was thinking what time should I show up I was thinking around 8:00pm? is that early enough? and how does it work do they let you go in the store? or do you have to wait in a line outside?
I’m buying a new console because all I have is the PlayStation2 and its old. I only have 260$ I am going to be playing Xbox Live a lot. I’m going to download demos but delete them when I’m done. The Elite I’m looking at is Refurbished, but it comes with a headset and a 120gb Hard Drive. The 4gb Slim, does not come with a Hard Drive and I need it to play live, and it doesn’t come with a headset. They are both 199.99 which fits my budget and I’ll have some money left over.
Even if I use a flash drive with the Xbox 4gb Slim, it doesn’t replace the Hard Drive. (I want Kinect, but its not mandatory. Maybe I’ll get it later.) The Elite doesn’t come with built in Wi-fi and I use WiFi not Ethernet Cables. Or should I save and get the 250gb Slim. Which is the best out of all of them but I don’t like the glossy finish and its 299. Walmart has some good bundles also.

I have had my Xbox 360 Premium since early 2009 and I’ve had no problems so far. However, I’ve recently become interested in Kinect and have decided on buying it. So in the new xbox 360 interface, if you press Y on a game in your console it has more options. One is to download the game to the hard drive. What is the point of doing that? You still need to put the disc in to play it off your hard drive. All of that just so the disc doesn’t need to spin?

Iv’e had each of them in the past LONG ago near release and at the time being able to afford big new shiny PC’s i didn’t use either much so i sold both. I will say i had Crazy bad luck with 360 hardware failing at the time but i imagine that’s better off now. Mind you i will no longer have a higher spec PC anymore so the “”You can buy that 360 game on PC” point is moot. I know to answer that question you need to know a little more about my habits as a gamer.

Rizen i may not know consoles all that well but i used to build Desktops for a living and repair laptops also. You could build a PC for 500$ and it may holdup to games for a year or so (not counting the increased failure rates with cheaper parts) but if you want a PC that’s going to Last awhile you really these days need at least an i5 preferably an i7 8 GB of DDR3 And a Nvidia 580GTX. Any Desktop under the 800$ mark and your going to be spending a ton upgrading it inside of two years. And laptops for the majority (outside of a select few with removable GPU’s) largely are not that up gradable. The last Desktop i built is about 5-6 years old now and cost around 1000$ to build however it can still play most modern games on Low-mediumish settings (9800GTX+ OC SLI,AMD Dual core 3.2 Black edition,8 GB DDR2) Where as a console a paltry 250 dollars (more at launch) lasts you 5-10 years of solid gaming with any game that comes out.
