Teddy originated this partnership with his creation of  Le Carnet Rouge a french and danish graphic novel that was translated into THE RED DIARY; it is a tale of vermeer paintings with mysterious origins and a secret diary.

Steven was drawn to the moody allure of Le Carnet Rouge but didn’t know how to read french or danish so created his own story based on Kristiansen’s masterful art and with his blessing created THE RE[A]D DIARY; a story of war crimes and righteous identity fraud that saves two lives.

THE RED DIARY/THE RE[A]D DIARY two intriguing graphic novels can be purchased on June 13, 2012, for $29.99.  Or, you can pre-order this 144 page hard cover graphic novel from the April issue of Previews

studios include: Best Cow, McFarlane studios, the now defunct Intense Studios and Wilstorm(when they have been at Image).

  3. it is by image comics, and the only thing else i remember is there’s a guy who wears a red, maybe red and black, face mask that show his hair which is blond and shaggyish, anyone know what it is called?

  4. How come Image Comics never seem to be able to sustain the popularity of any of their characters?

When they first came out, characters like Spawn, Savage Dragon, Witchblade, The Darkness, WildC.A.T.S, Young Blood, Gen13, Darkchild, Pitt… (to name a few)… were all immediately successful and popular. But after one to five years, they all faded away into either nothingness or obscurity? What is it exactly that Image does wrong? How come no characters have the staying power of Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, Hulk and the likes?

  5. I’m attempting to obtain the images for a complete Legend of Zelda collection. Currently, I’m trying to catalog the Valiant comics, which were released in 1990-1991. I have several of them, and have obtained online images of the rest, which has given me issues #1-5, #7.

Unfortunately, I’ve been unable to find the cover image (or better yet, the entire comic) for #6 anywhere. I’ve also heard that there is an eighth issue, bat am unsure if that information is accurate.

I’m mainly looking for the cover images, but any info on either of these would be great!

    Thanks.
Number 7 was released, as I have a downloaded copy of it.

  6. Where should I start if I want to write comics? What books to buy or what courses/workshops to take? Is it very hard to break into the industry? What if, for instance, I’m thinking to start with such publishers as Image Comics? How much do writers usually make per issue? If they just start? Or, if they’re pros already? I just needs a few ideas and some advice in understanding if it’s for me and how should start)))
    Thank you!

  7. Read both trades and want to get this on my pull/subscription list, I just dont know how far off from the second trade in the story I would end up.

    Thanks all !
