This new version of this title comes with bonuses as expected. New teams of characters are now joining the action. The ”Art of Fighting”, “Psycho Soldier”, “Kim” and “Ikari” teams are now available. This now makes it so there are 32 playable characters, which is definitely impressive for being an app for the iPhone/iPod touch. Also, included are 6 bonus stages, including Plaza of Snow & Blue Sky Open Cafe.
There will be a number of modes for both single player and multiplayer (over bluetooth) modes. Including Versus Battles with “Rank Versus” which will determine matches by players’ win/loss records, and “Friend Versus” which player records doesn’t matter in the match ups. Also, there is a “Time Attack” mode where players need to win 10 matches in the quickest time possible.
Along with all this teams have features including ending movies for each team. Along with new challenges, trading cards and illustrations.
The technology involved with this title looks very sharp. If players can properly adjust to playing a fighting game on a touch screen (I know I have a hard time with it). Then the $6.99 asking price for this app is definitely a baragain for King of Fighters fans that have an iPhone or iPod Touch.
