Barry Sanders Set To Join RGIII On The NCAA Football 13 Cover

Soon to be NFL rookie & 2011 Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III was chosen to be on the cover of NCAA Football 13.  Joystiq is reporting that he now be sharing the cover with former Heisman trophy winner and outright football legend Barry Sanders.  Sanders was voted by fans to share the cover in a contest similar to the Madden cover vote.

NCAA Football 13 is set to drop on the Xbox 360 and PS3 on July 10th.

After dominating decades of football titles in Tecmo Bowl and Madden franchises,  Barry Sanders will now be destroying defenders in the premier college football title.

What if Barry Sanders played two a lot more years? If he had gained his regular of 1530 yards a period for two far more years, he would have gained a total of 18323, which would have fundamentally place the rushing file out of get to for virtually anybody. If he did, would he be remembered as the greatest ever?
Emmett wan’t quite powerful at the conclude of his career, I do not feel he would have caught Barry Sanders if he played any longer.
What a selfless act, not telling his crew he was likely to retire so they did not have time to find a great replacement.

  2. I assume the purpose why he does not get the regard that Emmitt Smith or Walter Payton get is simply because he only played 10 season as a substitute of 13 or 15 seasons. He also did not have a Tremendous Bowl ring or manufactured it to a Super Bowl.

Barry Sanders had to be the ideal general running back. He was very easily the quickest and most agile back of his era and his power was underrated.

The era of operating backs dominating the sport appear to have gone into the sunset. The defensive backs and linebackers of nowadays have collectively caught up skills-wise and talent-wise. No longer are working backs dominating the game. Not L.T., not Saun Alexander, not Jones, etcetera, etc. Does the running back again dominance of old, have any “new hope” to carry on the moniker Barry Sanders appears to have stored in his closet? Any Individual lurking in college?

  8. When the cowboys won superbowls 1992 (XXVII), 1993 (XXVIII), 1995 and Barry Sanders played with the Lions from 1989-1998. Do you think he would of had a better career with Troy Aikman and that Dallas OL then Emmit did in Dallas..

  9. I remember this commercial from back when Sanders had retried, I think, but I 4get the shoe company that did it. (Nike’s my best guess.} On Halloween, a kid was dressed as Barry Sanders, & he kept getting the door slammed on him. What was that about?

  10. I’m a Niners fan, I saw Barry run over 80 yards for a td in candlestick. He deserved a better team

i like walter payton, jim brown, and eric dickerson but i feel that barry sanders is the greatest running back of all-time why isnt he given that credit.

  13. Over the years I have seen a number of players quit on their team for the same reason Sanders did, because they were losers. But to be so bad at football to make a guy lose interest in playing the game all together, now that is remarkable. Way to go Detroit.
