Hi-Rez Studios has released some new images and video for their new game Smite. A MOBA game, Smite has taken the genre in some new directions. It’s been gotten a lot of people talking, here and elsewhere, and we’ve already discussed not only how awesome we think this game will be, but how fun the demo alone was at the PAX show this year.
I’m not gonna try to convince you with one liners like: “It’s sexy!” or “This game WILL blow your mind!”. Rather, just take a look for yourselves. Pictures worth a thousand words, as they say:

There are a few things I really like about this game. First of all, unlike other MOBAs, instead of having a real IP, players are controlling mythological gods. Like Ra:
He was totally was thought to have traveled on two solar boats called the Mandjet (the Boat of Millions of Years), or morning boat and the Mesektet, or evening boat. And I definitely did not wikipedia that.
Another cool champion I’ve got my eyes on is Arachne. While I didn’t get the chance to see Ra in action, Arachne definitely looks like a melee carry (for those unfamiliar with the genre, that’s a champion who is dedicated to killing other champions after building up their items):

The other big thing that draws me to this game is exactly what you think it is, but perhaps not why. Obviously it distinguishes itself from other MOBAs by utilizing the 3rd person view, as opposed to an isometric view. What this means is that your camera never leaves your champion’s shoulder, and you’re not clicking on things to target them. This is actually huge for separating itself from other MOBAs. For instance, ever since DOTA, and in to League of Legends and Heroes of Newerth as well as DOTA2, we’ve seen a slew of champion clones. The same abilities maybe mixed and matched on to different champions across different games. It’s understandable, when you’ve got a good idea, people utilize it and try to build on it.
Smite however breaks this cycle. This necessarily cannot happen because you’re dealing with an explicitly different type of control scheme. One that does not allow old champion ideas to translate well. For MOBA fans, we’re looking at an opportunity to see a lot of good innovation. Stuff we haven’t seen before. Which means that Smite could be a breath of fresh air in a genre where titles are more alike than they are different.

i downloaded the Hi-Rez game downloader but the option for tribes is not on it how do i download Tribes ascend
is there a direct download or why is the game not showing up on the downloader.
The sights back up and i redownloaded the installer but theres still no option for getting tribes.

I just started Dragon Age 2 on my PC. My map isn’t working. It has all the location markers but no “map.” It is fragmented and garbled. It looks like when you download a graphic file and don’t get all the data and you have part of the picture then strips of “static.” I have the static for my map.
I have reinstalled. And I tried downloading the hi-rez texture pack.
I think my video card is an ATI, I have DirectX 9, and I think I have the minimum specs but not the optimum specs.
ok i’ve looked on youtube, practiced all day, but i can’t make my guitar sound like kurt’s. i really wanna, but can’t. i figure it has something to do w/ the amp. I have a spider III 15, by line 6, and like 6 dials that all have 10 max. the dial names arechannel vol., treble, bass, mid, and some other funky things. heres a link to a close up pic of it. my guitar also has two tone dials. if the link doesn’t work, copy and paste it into your adress bar.

I game too. I’m not going to lie I love my rpgs and I understand not being able to stop playing for hours. That isn’t my problem. My problem is this, my bf will wake up and play lol (lol aka league of leagends. it is a moba) in the morning when he wakes up and right after he goes to the bathroom until he has to work at six. Because of this we have no sex life. Our sex life was great right after we lost our virginity to one another but after he decided that it was to much work our sex life died. Yesterday was his birthday and he spent the whole day while I was home playing online on this game that he has been playing for at least five months now. What can I do to win my man back and have a great sex life again?
And he only comes to bed to go to sleep.
right clicking on properties indicates that the pic files now have a lower dpi, but the size is equal to , and in many cases still just as large, as the much higher dpi originals. typical hi rez dpi = 3200; new dpi = 300

Movieweb.com used to have big pics, like of Transformers 2 shots from the movie as big as 1920 x 800 pixels, but they’ve changed their site recently to have smaller pics.

I have downloaded the TRIBES Ascend Closed Beta Client in my Lap Top and Updated it . when i to copied the Program file and pasted into my desktop it doesnt run properly……………..Is there anyaway for Copying the programfile and other things so i can play the game in my new computer without downloading it AGAIN??????????

I had Tribes: Ascend installed before it was linked with steam and it worked fine. Once it became available on steam, I figured I could get it on steam without downloading by copying the entire Tribes folder from Hi-Rez studios folder into the common folder. I did this and then tried to delete the Hi-Rez studios folder, which did not work. I then began downloading the game through steam which obviously was very instant because the files were already in the common folder. I then attempted to run the game which resulted in the error message “system not configured for product #10″ and then a launcher opened briefly which was not the usual launcher. So then I deleted the local content through steam and began downloading it through steam. Once it was finished I attempted to run it again but the same error appeared. So I took the entire Tribes folder and backed it up on another drive, and then uninstalled Tribes: Ascend. Then I went back to the Hi-Rez Studios folder and inserted the Tribes folder as it originally was (from my backup). I then went to the Tribes: Ascend website and begun downloading it independantly of steam, which again was instant because the files were already in place. This time when I attempted to run it, the launcher would open fine, but clicking the play button simply shows another error message. The error reads: “Failed to lauch game
