Sackboy Gets on the Fast Lane in LittleBigPlanet Karting

United Front Games, working in conjunction with Media Molecule, are creating LittleBigPlanet Karting. A that seeks to add a bit of flavor to LittleBigPlanet’s (LBP) ”Play, Create, Share” slogan, with a Karting experience.

Guy Longworth, Senior Vice President, Brand Marketing, had the following to say over the next “Play, Create, Share” title:
Since the launch of LittleBigPlanet, our community has provided incredible
support, which can be seen in the more than six million levels and games
that have been created and shared online through , a
truly wonderful accomplishment. Now, we’re thrilled to bring
PlayStation 3 owners  the next Play, Create, Share experience,
LittleBigPlanet Karting, a brand competitive karting adventure that is
sure to move this genre forward, providing endless for fans
and newcomers, while resonating with every member of the family, young and
old.
The LBP community has seen more than six million user-generated levels and games shared and played over the PlayStation Network. LBP Karting seeks to do the same for the karting side of things. Players can create their own race tracks, but also much more than that. Players wont be limited to only creating a track, they’ll be able to create their own karting experience. What do I mean by that? Players will be able to let their imaginations run wild. They can create their own game rules, weapons, and of course tracks, to fully customize the game to their liking.

Players of LBP Karting will also be able to share their creations to the entire community over the PlayStation Network for other to enjoy as well. If the LBP trend continues, we’ll be sure to see millions of creations from gamers/designers across the world.

With LBP Karting, players can jump right behind the wheel with the lovable Sackboy for intense fast paced kart racing. These new vibrant 3D worlds will feature ultra-competitive arena battles, objective-based missions, boss battles, mini-games, and of course classic kart racing.

LittleBigPlanet Karting is set to launch for the PlayStation 3 sometime in 2012.

My internet is not fast enough to go on playstation network. I want to know how I can go on PlayStation Network without using my internet. Sonic the HedgeHog 4 is coming out this fall and I want to be able to download the game so I can play! Plz tell me how to do this.

  6. What do most people use for 3d design? It has to be simple enough to learn by messing around but still usable to make high quality stuff once you get some experience. Sort of like Photoshop is for image manipulation.

  7. I want to buy a 3D projector but this “3D ready” stuff is confusing. What do I need to look for in a projector to ensure I can connect it to a 3D bluray player and play 3D movies?

  8. I have to make animals in 3D form. How can I achieve that?
Using pictures and having it pop up won’t work.

  9. Hi I am looking for 3d modeling software able to achieve results like zbrush or 3dmax but easy enough for a 12 year old to use, I don’t care about cost at the moment just very curious what software is out there.

    Thanks.

  10. Today’s presentation of objects in 3D on the net is with 3D photo, 3D video presentation and 3D interactive presentation on website. My question is what is main different.

  11. The usual explanation for our 3d vision is that, having 2 eyes, the crossed result of their slightly different vision creates the 3d effect. However, if I close one eye, I don’t experience any sudden flattening of my vision; nor I think that one-eyed people have problems perceiving depth, do they? So, what’s the REAL mechanism behind 3d vision?

  12. Some manufacturers allow me to view 3D or 360° degree of their physical product. For some of them, their website use Flash to display it.

    How they do it?

  13. I would love to find out the amount of active players on xbox live and the playstation network. If anyone knows these figures and / or how to find them, please let me know.

  14. I’ve just got a 3d tv and i wanted to watch a movie which is meant for 3d but something that a 12 year old girl would like. It can be an animation and if it is an animation it doesn’t have to be for 3d.

  15. What is the best 3d scanner at a reasonable price? NextEngine is a bit expensive. Is there any other 3d scanners aside from nextengine?

  16. I’m scared to buy an extra pair of 3d glasses for my family because they’re so expensive.. Can anyone tell me how much passive 3d glasses cost and how many the TV comes with?

  17. Using blender to create a 3d object and after effects for motion tracking, how could I combine the two? Is there any way to export 3d objects to After Effects from Blender? Do I need to bring the movie into blender, and if so is there any way of motion tracking? Say, for example, I have a scene of a table and the camera tracks around it. I create a 3d mug in blender. What next if I want to put the mug on the table in the scene?

I have some pre-installed trailers already on my toshiba qosmio x770 and they are great. I’ve downloaded the nividia 3d player. How do I watch ‘ordinary’ movies in 3d? The trailers are just split vertically in half when 3d is off. How do I do this for other movies?
