Atari, Wizards of the Coast, and Overhaul Games have announced today that work has begun on Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition, and Baldur’s Gate 2: Enhanced Edition. This new edition of two of the most beloved RPGs will feature a new version of the original Infinity Engine, with many modern improvements to streamline the gameplay. The team at Overhaul Games has developers from the original Baldur’s Gate team on staff, so expect it to stay true to the original. This is all we know, after a countdown culminated with this news this afternoon.
I, for one, couldn’t be more excited. This is exciting news. I’ve played few games in my gaming careers as long as I’ve played Baldur’s Gate 1 and 2. If they stay true to the original games, this could be very, very awesome. If this has inspired you played through the originals, head over to gog.com, otherwise stay posted and we’ll let you know when we have any new information.

Great news!
LMAO
Thanks for this!
I recently made a decision I wished to check out taking part in Baldur’s Gate 2, but I also determined that it would be brilliant if I could play on the web with someone, so if any individual would want to play, remember to permit me know. And if any individual would support me attempt getting on the web play to work, that would be great
!
Ok, so I purchased Baldur’s Gate 2 and set up it on my laptop with no problem. My laptop computer is a Dell running on an i5 quad core. The OS is Windows 7.
Now, when I perform the game I get lag every single couple of seconds, I really want to perform it, but it lags so undesirable that I just can not stand to. I’ve attempted adjusting the graphics configurations but nothing at all there looks to help.
So my problem is, what can I do to get this sport to cease lagging?
I Am seeking for a recreation set in the fantasy kind globe exactly where you equip weapons, gloves, helmets, and such; related to Diablo I & II, Baldur’s Gate: Darkish Alliance, Nox, or Fallout.
I’ve manufactured a number of D&D campaign, and I want to know if WOTC will buy them, and for how much. Please only answer if you know.
If they have, then in what pack? If they haven’t, then would you know when?
Well, I have Dark Alliance 1 and i beat it, i want to know where i can find Dark Alliance 2 Baldur’s Gate.
I play first edition, in the newer, Wizards of the coast, editions there is much less roleplaying. in first edition, you said i want to swim across the lake, and you roleplayed it. now you just role some stupid swimming check. DONT say its more realistic, saying a 10th level adventurer cant swim is retarded. if i am 10th level my character should be way past rolling to see if he can succesfuly swim across a river with no current.
just curious since baldur’s gate is a licensed product of dungeons and dragons
I know where the side entrance is but when I go in, it says the door’s locked. I’ve looked at every walkthrough and they say nothing about finding a key. Is this some kind of glitch or what?
I want to make a few custom characters, but I have no idea how I can get the custom portraits I have into the game’s database. I already have the portraits saved to my computer, but I don’t know what to do. Please help!!!
I already have Baldur’s Gate 1 and 2
Champions of Norrath
Champions Return to Arms
Are there any others very similar to this??????
I just order Bard’s Tale.
I have already played BG2 and NWN2. Also, could you give me suggestions on where to get it?
I like the gaming platform of Baldur’s Gate and Champions of Norrath, as well as the RPG style. Are there any two player games for the Wii with similar gameplay and RPG based storylines? It’s important that they are two-player! Thanks.
Long ago in 1993, Wizards of the Coast made Moxes and other powerful cards for the game Magic The Gathering. Now it is almost 20 years have past and the number of players are getting smaller and hardly no new players to replace the old ones the left the game. Why can’t Wizards of The Coast reprint or make new power 9 cards and real dual lands for the new generation of potential Magic players and present players. Don’t they understand, if they make they game fun like back then, they can gain more players and kept the old ones from leaving the game?
BTW I am new, and I think it is very unfair and customer unfriendly for Wizards Of The Coast not giving new players their version of the power 9 cards and good dual lands, perferly the real dual lands.
I’m trying to play Dark Alliance for the original xbox on my 360. The game is on the list on compatible titles, and I do have an HDD and an active internet connection. When I close the tray, the system seems to recognize the game as Baldur’s Gate, and when I press A to enter the game, I do see the oldschool xbox logo like I should. This screen lasts for some time, (too long) then the screen turns black. At this point the system has to be manually powered down.
What’s the deal? This is the second copy of Baldur’s Gate that’s not worked, though admittedly I’ve got much farther with this one than the last.
I’m looking for a game that is similar to Baldur’s Gate and Champions of Norrath that I can play online with my friend. Also, feel free to recommend any other MMORPG that would be fun to play. Thanks!!
Max: Thanks for your answer but I was looking for something more like Baldur’s Gate and Champs in game style. I did try NW and NW2 and they were good games, just not what I’m looking for
He really enjoyed Baldur’s gate, Munch’s odissey, dungeon and dragons. I like playing with him so anything multiplayer that is not sport or constant shoot out I am good for. Thanks for all of your help.
Ok I got Baldur’s Gate, and I am using its disc images to play the game. To run the images i’m using Daemon Tools lite, but the problem is when it asks to change discs it won’t recognize when I switch the disc image in Daemon Tools. Also to let you know, I am running vista.
Well, I have Dark Alliance 1 and i beat it, i want to know where i can find Dark Alliance 2 Baldur’s Gate.
I want to buy it, but how long will it take for me to beat it?
